  1. It's like he was made in a lab. I do not understand how he never made a top 50 list. Highest rank was 71 on BP? I guess the lost 2020 season took his chance of vaulting up prospect lists.
  2. Alejandro Kirk has literally never been sick
  3. Bullish on Kirk's health through his 20s. He's a little cannon ball. Lots of natural padding.
  4. Shane McClanahan might be the best SP in baseball. Best K-BB rate and it's not even close. 31.2% vs 26.5% for Corbin Burnes
  5. Lock Kirk up immediately 7 year deal
  6. Kinda sucks right now. Power might have fallen off.
  7. It depends HOW he struggles. Bad results but okay process? No real value change, unless that happens for literal seasons. Bad results and terrible process (Kelenic, Adell)? Value changes more quickly.
  8. 27. Gabriel Martinez, RF Signed: July 2nd Period, 2018 from Venezuela (TOR) Martinez has a well-rounded offensive package: adequate bat speed, mature swing decisions, and a good-looking cut. He’s likely a corner outfielder, which means it’d be helpful if one of his offensive tools becomes plus. He’s not especially projectable, so it will likely need to be the hit tool and/or approach, rather than raw power growth, that carries him. His 40-man roster timeline (Martinez is a 2022 add) makes that tenuous, though the scouts we spoke to who saw Martinez on the complex do like him.
  9. Not sure about that They might list players who continue to be eligible as just "eligible" but for upcoming first timers I think they put the year they will first be eligible https://www.fangraphs.com/players/sem-robberse/sa3011735/stats?position=P
  10. Martinez was signed in 2018, so I think he is R5 eligible before 2023. That's the 5th year. So Fangraphs is right I think. I believe the rule is, if the player was 18 or younger one June 5th of the year they signed then they are R5 eligible in five years. If 19 or older on that June 5th, then eligible in 4 years.
  11. Well even if it was on the table it would have been Moreno plus three to five other pieces.
  12. Nah they won't sell unless they have an Angels like losing streak and have no shot
  13. I don't know but it's easy to study I have read articles that show that team's overreact to weird players.
  14. Well there is size bias. Like, in 2012 Marcus Stroman should have gone like 6th in the draft. But he was 5'7" on a good day so he went 22nd. His numbers were probably better than Kyle Zimmer but Zimmer was 6'3". And other players picked ahead of him like Courtney Hawkins were beeeeg and stroooong. Zimmer 88 IP 104 Ks Stroman 98 IP 136 Ks Appel 123 IP 130 Ks Heaney 118 IP 140 Ks Gausman 123 IP 135 Ks Wacha 113 IP 116 Ks Stratton 109 IP 127 Ks All of those college arms went ahead of Stroman. None had a stuff argument for going ahead of him (probably). Most of the arguments were about size and frame.
  15. Not necessarily. If the premise is true then one of the following things follows: a) he's underrated the body issues are a valid reason to value him less. on , maybe being fat and generally unathletic leads to aging harder and earlier and/or added injury risk. seems logical enough.
  16. We are witnessing a breakout, guys
  17. ah nice I can't even find my post I want to go back and t-bag carlos danger and friends or whoever the f*** it was who disagreed
  18. wait wait wait did I see a graphic last game that said Toronto is #1 in baseball at pulling the ball? during this hot streak? who was it on this board that had a borderline mental breakdown saying that the team should pull the ball more?
  19. Jansen was f***ed up, you could see his hand and finger trembling when they were testing him. The problem is Danny Jansen is a huge alpha chad so when he says he wants to keep playing what is Bongos supposed to do? Boss him around? Lmao as if
  20. Well yeah we have been told that I think based on his Toronto time But these Angels issues are years old. Not enough depth. Their SP rotation coming into 2022 was disgusting. How could they start 2022 with that depth chart? Other than Ohtani it was kind of just a bunch of shots in the dark.
