It is just basic human fallacies

Not sure what this one is called but it's probably something like the Status Quo Bias or Regret Aversion or Loss Aversion

e.g. the bias against making an active choice and losing. when you make an active choice and it goes wrong, you feel it more. when your favourite team's manager makes an active choice and it goes wrong, you get more madder.

Bauer is a FA this offseason.  I wonder what he's going to get?  Not a huge track record of course, but coming off a huge season.

A late bloomer who finds his swing?  Incoming calls from A.A.

Feels like we’re seeing the natural attrition that comes for teams that spend like LA: they have a lot of old, banged up guys on big contracts that can’t really be moved

No issue with this. We want to be the team that has one goal season after season, WS.

Don't think we're there yet

I think those cleats are badass and if they get eliminated that's some display worthy memorabilia.

Williams and Smith have been deadly, and the Guards continue to get big knocks, today was rookie Petey Halpin, he roped that ball off Jax. I was hoping for a Brewers/Rays WS, now I'm not sure on that, they've been playing good baseball for nearly 2 months now.

Either way, love this time of year, sweep the Dodgers Brew Crew, that'll make my year.

I am embarrassed for the dodgers.  Sad what they turned into.

Ohtani decline was not gradual nor graceful

I read a story that upon sweeping the Guardians, the NY Mets told them that the volume on their pitchcom devices was too high and the Mets players were using it to steal their signs.  Ever since that, the Guardians were like 30 and 12 or something.  Potentially just coincidence, but as you say - they've been cooking for awhile now.

now u know why Roberts hesitates going to the pen

To be fair - Scott was nails this year.  Quite unexpected for Mitchell to take him deep.  Great at bat.

I love watching this Brewers team and I think people across North America are too.

My question is - do you think people felt this way watching the Jays go to the World Series?  I am bias, but I thought we had a really entertaining playoffs last year too, so I think it's quite possible they did.

In my travels since last year, the fans I have met from other teams all have told me that they were cheering for the Jays last World Series.  I'm  sure some of it is anti Dodgers bias but some had to be they liked that brand of baseball.

Garrett Mitchell is dreamy.  LOL

I remember him from the draft. Labelled as a toolsy player with holes in his swing.  Big upside.

Nice to see him succeed in a big moment.
