BTS Community Moderator Posted Monday at 06:32 PM Posted Monday at 06:32 PM That's going to cost Baltimore like 5M between his salary for this season and his 2M buyout on a 20M option

Jays are behind the Orioles so the Jays passed on him. Robert over Daz Cameron would have been a big upgrade, but they obviously didn't feel it was worth his remaining salary plus buyout. jaysblue 1

Maybe Robert's ROS projections range from 93 to 104 wRC+ Cameron's from 84 to 104 Steamer and ZiPS both favour Cameron, offensively! shocking, but true max silver and Spanky__99 2
SeranthonySantander Verified Member Posted Monday at 09:18 PM Posted Monday at 09:18 PM Funny clip I saw on Facebook talking yanks with Red Sox and Yankees game. jazz steals 3rd up by 6, uncontested, I think that was the issue. Red Sox announces says “that’s padding your stats, Chisholm is a bush league player” other Red Sox announcer Will Fleming goes “wouldn’t you like to see Moran drill Austin Wells right here?” i wish our announces were like this

Could be true but totally opposite to my experience in Boston. I have done 10 Boston Marathons, 15 or so red sox games, and visited MIT/Havard as a distinquished scholar 5 times. The latter is actually more like a jr. pharmaceutical rep before I became permanently unemployed in 2014. Anyway point is always seemed to me to be like a woke liberal place where they would bend over backwards to create a welcoming environment for people of color, the latinx, the bigenders. Not that you learn anything from visiting a place while travelling the elite circles of the place. Probably if I did they same activities in Oklahoma city I'd come away thinking that place was woke.

SeranthonySantander Verified Member Posted yesterday at 02:08 AM Posted yesterday at 02:08 AM Hunter goodman hit by batted ball. I looked up how often this happens each year and they don't even have numbers for it. This happened to me once in T-ball when I played for team Dairy Queen. Everyone on the team was pissed at me.

Yeah, I’d still prefer Robert over Cameron, but that’s just my two cents. My guess is the roughly $5M remaining on his contract probably scared them off. To me, both probably have a similar floor the rest of the way. The difference is the upside. Robert still has the better bat and at least has the potential to make a legitimate impact if he gets hot. Since August 1, Robert has hit .267/.321/.520 with 6 HRs and a 128 wRC+. If he carries that August production into September, then I think he’s absolutely worth the gamble. If he goes back to being an 80–90 wRC+ bat, then sure, he probably isn’t giving you much more than Cameron. But if I’m choosing between the two for a playoff push, I’d rather gamble on Robert’s upside.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago The Angels are being sold to Los Angeles Rams and Denver Nuggets owner Stan Korenke, reports the Los Angeles Times. Wow. The reign of Arte Moreno is over, or at least will be in the first quarter of 2027. There was no word that the Angels were again up for sale. Moreno put the team on the market in Aug. 2022, but with no suitable offers, he announced five months later than he’d keep the club. The sale seems like great news for Angels fans. Kroenke hasn’t been quite as generous with the Nuggets’ finances as some would like, but his teams, which also include the Colorado Avalanche, certainly tend to have more success than the Angels have enjoyed. So much for dumping Vlad and his massive contract on Arte Moreno and the Angels. I have to think this is good news for LAA.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Arte was the one human being on earth other than Ed Rogers who would have taken Vlad's contract. Damn.
