Red Sox win again. Damn that must feel good for their fans.

Grant is probably having a nervous breakdown right now.

Blue Jays need to pay to send him to Fenway as a Blue Jays ambassador for consecutive win 19.  He can hand them a token of appreciation for that historic moment.  Like a quilt with 19 on it and some great moments from the win streak embroidered.

Also, I mentioned on the Sell thread, but in the case of Blue Jays selling anyone to the Red Sox, Grant can escort them across the field to the other dug-out and wish them the best on a quest for the World Series.

World Series AL East this century - Boston 4, NY 2, Tampa Bay 0, Baltimore 0, Toronto 0

Playoff wins AL East this decode - NY 15,  Tampa Bay 12, Toronto 10, Boston 6, Baltimore 0

How is Baltimore less deserving?  They have very little.

I do like Boston.  Integrity, intelligence, classy fans, a left wing liberal city, smartest place in North America, home of Havard and MIT, the Boston Marathon, the start of freedom for the west at the Boston Tea Party.  Sam Adams beer.  Patriots.  Warriors.  The kindest people on the planet.  Some disagree, they have not been there and are making stuff up.  ALL four teams have Championships in the last 10 years I believe.  They do deserve this as a people, and because of their kindness you could argue they deserve another from the Red Sox this year.

I don't know as much about Baltimore as a city and their people.  How classy are they?   Baltimore deserves some success because they've had little lately, but they deserve it based on their integrity?

When I think of Baltimore I think of the Wire, When I have Been to Baltimore I am afraid i am in an episode of the  Wire

Ty France added 200 points to his OPS, was in the high 600's last season, .871 these season.  What is he doing?

our old friend Trent Thornton took a line driver directly to his ankle and had to leave the game, in obvious pain, hobbled off the field.

Better hitting coach 😎

I mean - he hadn't hit well for 2 full seasons and was only average in 2023.  It's been awhile since this 3 straight great years with the bat (2020-2022).  He probably go in the lab this offseason and made some tangible changes.

Good for him man - he's potentially turned his career around and is having a career year at age 31.  Respect the grind as he was close to being out of the league...

"Future Superstar" Nick Frasso is headed to the Rockies. You don't hear from his fanboys much anymore but best of luck to him in Colorado.

Seth Halvorsen with his 100 mph avg fastball and elite slider is going to be a problem in any other org that isn't the Rockies. Unfortunately a good pickup for the Dodgers.

Where'd the Red Sox circle jerk thread go?  Did you guys ban that guy and thus delete the thread?  My public admiration for what the Rays are doing is going into the abyss?

No they deleted it but they can’t ban me because we do free speech here.

unfortunately because of that I will have to overrun some other threads with Red Sox news but I don’t think many people will mind.

tthe Sox game is postponed tonight which kinda sucks, was looking forward to it all day

Maybe cleaning house is the answer

I think "cleaning house" is just a the easiest knee-jerk and emotional type of reaction that fans have.

If front offices ran their business this way half the teams in baseball would be cleaning house every season.

The most difficult part about running a multi-billion dollar organization is keeping emotions out of decision making.

This is far too mature of a thought for this board.

Not sure why that thread got deleted.  I totally get if he was starting a new Red Sox thread everyday.  What is wrong with a thread about another teams success?   Yeah I know there are Red Sox boards. but sometimes you just want to chat about stuff with the board you know.

Given expectations this has to be the worst season in Blue Jays history.   Have some leeway I think to muse about why the other teams are successful.

Sorry they deleted your thread.

Crazy that 34 years old Wilson Contreras can hit fine and Guerrero can't.  How?  How is that even possible.

Well the thread stood for a few days.  So I assume most mods were ok with it, but someone with connections higher up must have called in a favour.  Maybe grant or spanky. Not one for conspiracy stuff normally.

Red Sox clearly believe Mead and his breakout season is for real.  134 wRC+ at age 25 with some thump with great BB% and K%.

He's their new Devers.

Awesome trade - will be interesting to see how it plays out over the next 4-5 years.

Would have thought Early had more value than Mead

yea, could be a precursor to another move? plus they stock piled prospects over the years and now have one of the best farms IIRC - maybe they felt it was time to acquire players....
