Wow that's a statement win if I've ever seen one. That was the best starter that the Dodgers had to offer and the Jays made short work of him to get him out of the game in the 6th. Continuing to get to the Dodgers underwhelming pen will be a massive key to this series. Kudos to the Jays pen that was largely excellent in this one.

So pumped for Gausman to get the ball tomorrow, only thing is the offense seems to be very stingy with the run support when he hits the bump. Is it just me, or does anyone else notice this?

I thought maybe but i had Chat GPT dig into it:

Here’s the Blue Jays’ team run support per start in 2025 (RS/G)

Eric Lauer — 6.53 RS/G.

José Berríos — 5.93 RS/G.

Kevin Gausman — 4.83 RS/G.

Max Scherzer — 4.61 RS/G.

Chris Bassitt — 4.13 RS/G.

So we are going to need Trey to hold it together for just 1 more game.   Unless we win it in 4 but I think thats unlikely

He has struggled a bit since the first appearance. I would maybe go Bassitt for 3 innings, then bring in Yesavage for 2. Ease the pressure on him a bit by not starting and having the Dodgers not prep for him

This is giving me 2019 Raptors vs Golden State vibes. Raps lose the first two in the East Final, people write us off, we come back to win. Then we advance to finals and everyone says congrats on making it but Golden State will destroy you. Throw Sucker punch Game 1 with a dominant win to beat them and shut every analyst up.

That’s an amazing pick out!  So true.  I would be amazing to have seen both wins in my life time!  I was living in the UK in the 90s so did not follow or support Canadian team then.

Would have been nice if the Jays saved some of those 11 runs for today haha

I said this back in August after I was at Dodgers Stadium, how sweet it would be if the Jays met the Dodgers in the World Series and beat Ohtani after he shafted us two years ago! So poetic if it happens!

Even that Friday night game I went to where it was Scherzer vs. Kershaw, felt like an October game.

Chill boys.  This is no time to be fighting/arguing. Let's all enjoy this together.

Had to block Spanky after more than 20 years of online friendship. That's really disappointing.

I don't understand why he loves the Mariners so much or why he's brought up the same post about them a dozen times. I wish he could just enjoy this like everyone else, like you said.

This clown threatened to have me banned in a DM from the forum, cause I quoted him... lol???

Drop the Mariners s*** you f***ing tool. You've brought it up like 10 f***ing times.

I don't care what you think, they f***ing suck and we should have beat them easily.

This is the last time I'm going to ask. If you respond to this or lie about it again, I'm not reading it and I'm permanently blocking you and I'll push for you to be banned. I've put up with a lot of stuff from you over the years and would be happy the call you a friend, but not if you keep lying about me.

Dear Mr. Ed Rogers:

I hope you already heard about Addison Barger’s living condition and his intention of “saving a buck” (that was his own words).

PLEASE Shell out loose change in your FAT pocket and provide him the most comfortable High Rise condominium for FREE.

Then while you are at it, it’s time to give bonuses to all your players and coaches including the trio of hitting coaches.

Greed is one of the deadliest sin.   So do something about it before you Rot in Hell.

Thank you.

From your friendly church goer Alejandro

Someone DMed me that Spanky is the most blocked profile on this forum.

I blocked him after he called me "mate" too often, like he's from the UK or something.

Someone DM'd me... 🙄

My ancestors are Irish from both sides of my family, and mate is used in the same context as bro/buddy/friend, it's a kind gesture, as for blocking me, I have zero f*cks to give, so have at it, meat.

Did anyone notice that on Shulman call of the Barger grand slam yesterday he said, "high drive to deep left center field.." Ball was hit to right center field.  Or am I mishearing it?

His calls haven't been the best this post season.

I don't think he did. Sounded like right centre to me.  But I do agree his calls haven't been great.  I actually think Ben Shulman has had much better calls.  I suspect we'll see Shulman and Shulman in the booth together soon.
