Seems doubtful at best.  Haven't heard much about him lately - like if he's throwing or feeling better yet.

I googled.  Jays have already ruled him out.  I don't want Little on the roster, but the other options are pretty s***.

Dodgers have some big time lefties in the lineup.  I think they're going to need Little, Flu and Lauer more this series than they did against the M's, which is frightening.

The only other lefty options are Bruihl, Macko, Lucas.

That's pretty harsh on Little

If they don't roster him they lose a lot of utility. I'm not sure Lauer and Fluharty are enough to get advantage of the sizeable career splits from Ohtain, Muncy, and Freeman. Yes they are still good against LHP but you can kind of turn them from mashers into normal hitters in a tight spot.

Ohtani career 169 wRC+ vs RHP 130 vs LHP
Muncy 130 and 113
Freeman 151 and 120

The gamble with Little is the same as it has been all year. Walk risk. In certain situations he makes sense against these guys. Lauer and Flu have less walk risk but a higher chance of getting touched up.

I do want to dump Yariel off the roster for Nance though.

Yeah - Nance for Yariel should be considered.  Or just dumping a RPer to add Bo and go with a 5 man bench.  That might be considered too.

Words can’t express how happy I am we are here. These playoff threads happen every year and for the first time in this message board history dating back all the way to Bluejays.com board we will be in the World Series thread. I love it.

Yeah but from what I have seen of Little, he can't handle the pressure.  His confidence is shot.

I don't see the need for Berrios.

Bassitt looked pumped in that 8th inning - a new weapon out of the pen

You just know Bassitt is giving it his all knowing he's likely not coming back next season.

I mean, not like any of them aren't giving their all, but for guys like him, at his age and contract status there's that little bit extra.

Bassitt actually looked pretty good out of the pen didn't he lol

His fastball was 3 mph faster and had some tail to it

That was a crafty move by Schneids

Bassitt just had the normal velo bump knowing he's pitching a short outing.  Berrios would do the same if he was available (Jays have said he is not).

Trust me on this - if Little gets the call, Jays lose that game.

You need to be ready for him to face Ohtani, Betts and Freeman.

Results, probably a K and 2 walks, but not sure who gets what.

Bassitt doesn't rely on velo

People are way too harsh on Little.

It's fair to question if he should be pitching in the 8th inning protecting small leads.

But the "He's been bad since X date" numbers are all arbitrary BS. I can play the "since X Date" game too and he's had a 1.86 ERA since September 3.

I'd move him down the pecking order but if he finds his release point he could come up huge for us.

Of course not, but added velo is good, no?

yea just not the same as a well rested Hoffman, Bassitt has a ridiculous pitch repertoire I knew the Mariners weren't touching him

Bassitt throwing 97 with his command and pitch selection is an ace. Of course that's not a reality, but he's a real relief weapon with that kind of velo.

Don't care about the oddsmakers.  Throw them out. Four games are winnable if the Jays play to their capabilities.

The big questions for me are:

How do they deploy Bichette?  Will his bat be up to speed after the long layoff?

We need every lefty swinging dick we can muster out of the pen.  Will this be the redemption arc for Little or is it just an issue between the ears for him?

JS has to rethink his tactics of bullpen management. Will he adapt to using Bassitt and Lauer in bigger spots or is he going with the same old?

Is IKF now a fixture in the starting lineup?

Going to be a heck of a ride.

Yep.

sinker, sweeper, cutter, curve.  He rarely throws a 4s fastball (9% usage during the regular season)

I like this profile out of the pen

Yes IKF is a big question.  I think his stick will be pretty useless against Yamamoto, Glasnow, and Ohtani.  Put him in against Snell, save him for later innings against the 3 righties.

just checked, 500 level is ranging from 2500 to 4000

Behind-ish for the plate for 20k

That's a hell of an increase. I got lucky in the queue and the face value of my section 537 tickets are $484.

There were still a couple in the 200 sections, but they were over $1500 and I couldn't justify it. I also wanted to act quickly since there wasn't a ton left.

Wow, the radar gun on the broadcast was laughably incorrect 🤣. I like the profile as well.

Dodger stadium equivalent to the 500 seats are going for $900+ (and available through Ticketmaster), field seats can be had for $2K
