Damn the dude with a bum knee we booed gamed us in a game 7.

You cannot make this s*** up"

And now all major MLB media is declaring that George Springer "has definitely proven himself and beaten any old cheating accusations"

can you even believe that narrative?

George Springer is the new Joe Carter and Canadian hero which we're forced to accept now

Two things I'm thinking about before tonights game:

1. I hope George Springer is feeling better tonight. I saw him wince a few times on swings last night.  We need a productive George tonight. I suspect the summer of George isn't over yet. Stay tuned.

2. I have settled myself for the outcome, whatever it may be. This is the team I expected to win 85 games this season.  Talk about exceeding expectations. The comeback victories alone this  season are enough to satiate even the most ardent baseball fan. Thanks Blue Jays.

If we lose tonight I hope it isn't because we beat ourselves.  Hoping for error free baseball tonight and let the chips fall where they may.

It has been a hell of a ride thus far. Can't think of a better way to inaugurate the new Blue Jays Centre.  2025, a season of faiths perfection.

Post Script:

Not to put too fine a point on this game/series but I felt an inner peace prior to this game as noted above.  I'm so happy that both teams played error free baseball and that this game wasn't decided on a controversial call or flub.

Congratulations to the Mariners for a great season.  They took our Jays to task for seven games right to the last out.  That said, George Springer is now immortalized in Blue Jay lore.  The summer of George continues into the fall.

Congratulations to everyone on this board especially the Old Timey guys who have stuck with this team.  We're going to the dance!

What's the stats on a team coming back from losing the first two at home and winning?

Fangraphs had us like 12 or 15%

96 yankees are the last team to do it losing at home.

Total of 13 times since 1955 over ALCS and World Series where a team came back 0-2 regardless of home or away

i saw the very first game the Jays played on TV and attended a world series game they won in 92.  Women are rarely baseball fans, but I have been there through all the terrible years and the good ones,  but I think this year has been one of the best years I can ever remember.  And while I dont post much, I am always reading and laughing with a lot of you.  I am old enough to be a mother to most of you and I can understand how exciting this is for all of you.  Congrats!!!!

It's not just coming back down 2-0, but also coming back from the crush of Game 5.

Almost forgot we just won those 2 must win games and now the Little argument can be put to rest..  Still can't get over that double play in the 8th though, that insurance run would have saved some stress.

Jays had some extremely hard hit outs this game

I went to a couple of games in 1977.  Frigging cold in that park!

Exhibition Stadium was brutal in April, I can remember getting snowed on during the game.

Dan Shulman needs to do better job on homerun calls. I watched the Fox call on the Springer HR and it was way more hyped.

He is bad at judging the distance of balls, and so he always gets excited too late because he's the last person to realize its a home run.

That Barger liner for the double play was an absolute bullet. Varsho and Suarez even had a chuckle about it on third knowing how fortunate the Mariners were there.

What a great game!!   This will go down as of the best Jays games ever.

What can you say about George Springer?  He was so far down last year, to come back the way he has and to culminate with that moment tonight was unreal.

I think Jeff Hoffman deserves some love too.  35 stressful pitches last night and to come back tonight the way he did is incredible.  It takes a special kind of person to be a closer.  He has nerves of steel.  He didn't just get the job done but struck out the side!

I'm talking about Schneider's postgame f-bombs and even Springer's from I believe the division clinching. Those were clearly premediated and not really raw emotion imo, which is precisely why I don't soy out over it. Have some self-respect
