Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 Jeez that’s an all-time no show by the Brewers. Would’ve been a better series with the Cubs lol. So glad the Jays were able to make it a series vs the Mariners.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 I want to play the Dodgers in the World Series so bad. Spanky__99 1

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 The good news is Ohtani took all the media sting away from our game lol. Nobody outside of Seattle is talking about what happened. Good job Shohei! Stangstag 1
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 Imagine being an Angels fan.. Gifted a unicorn like that, had him for 6 seasons and couldn't even make the playoffs with him (and Trout too). Then you watch him head across town and go straight to winning World Series.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 Everyone thinks that whomever wins the ALCS will be dropped into the meatgrinder that is the Dodgers. Tough to argue. The Brewers were about as good as the Jays (maybe better) and they were beaten like a red-headed stepson. Welcome to the Sho.

SeranthonySantander Verified Member Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 I am still bitter about Ohtani not signing here but as a small business owner it’s irking to see these articles posted and jerked off to in dodgers groups/reddit. Yes they bring in a lot of gross revenue but that’s not what earnings means in the accounting world. Red Sox were the most profitable team last year https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25261796-dodgers-reportedly-earned-entirety-shohei-ohtanis-700m-contract-1st-season Stangstag 1
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 Do the Dodgers plan to stretch Sasaki back out to a starter next year? If that starting 4 of Snell, Yamamoto, Ohtani and Glasnow stays healthy, do the Dodgers win 110 games next season? Thinking about the last two off seasons and how the Jays got things back on track in 2025 despite missing out on all those guys the Dodgers piled up, just imagine this Jays team with two ace pitchers, a closer with nasty stuff and a 100mph FB, oh and a hall of fame bat who also happens to be one of those aces I just mentioned. Too bad all those Japanese guys love LA more than Canada.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 Can Ohtani stick? Spanky__99 and Stangstag 2

Jays rotation: Gausman - $22M Bassitt - $22M Berrios - $18M Scherzer - $15M = $77M If the Jays had Ohtani, their rotation would also be right up there at $147M total. Snell is at $36M, Yamamoto at $27M and Glasnow at $27M. Difference there is that those guys when healthy can pitch like #1-2 starters. Outside of Gausman, Jays are paying guys like Berrios and Bassitt pretty much $20M AAV each to pitch like #4/5 starters. hanton 1

Not a bad contract based on performance, but that contract specifically won't make the team much richer. Angels had him for years and didn't turn them into money printer. That's also pretending no other player contributes to the teams success. 700m revenue isn't impressive if you spend all of it to get that revenue.
