If this team doesn't show up in gm3/4 it will be a long off season

I don't get this mentality.  The baseball playoffs are a crapshoot.  This team was projected to be a last place team, but they put together an incredibly fun season, finishing with 94 wins, an AL East title and a playoff series win.  Even if we get swept - EVERY Jays fan should be super happy with the season and excited for what the future holds.  There will be work to do this offseason for sure, but we have an owner who's willing to spend and we have a young core of players, plus a guy like Yesavage who we'll get for a full season.

I'm sure you're suggesting it will feel long because this "feels" like a great opportunity to make (or win) the World Series - but you're not giving the Mariners enough credit.  Most people felt they were the one team in the AL that worried us - and for good reason.  Nobody should be surprised if the M's beat us and nobody should be upset or disappointed by this season - it's been one of the best seasons in recent memory and it was SO much fun to watch.

But this series isn't over - we just need a W tonight.

If your team cannot win the World Series, the consolation prize most fans want is "memories"

Even if you lose in the ALCS/NLCS, it can be a good run for the organization if memories happen. Like the bat flip.

Is the 2025 Jays run missing the memories right now? Winning the division was cool. The regular season had its memorable moments. The first round was fun and Vlad had a signature series and moment. But, not sure any of that is enough. Need a walk off homer to force game 7 against Seattle or something like that (before we lose 10-2).

The Jays are 2 wins away from going just as far as the 2015 team did, and the 2015 team made AA the baseball equivalent of a deity to a large percentage of this fanbase. I think the 2025 team between beating the Yankees, the Vladdy grand slam, the Yesavage ALDS start, and “Daaaa Yankees lose” have probably reached the memories quota. Pushing the current series to Game 6 (minimum) would certainly help though.
