Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 The offense scuffled this series, but we're still the top team in baseball offensively, it's not that dire folks, lol. Wake n bake 1
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 I'm glad the Jays play like an AAA team every season they play the Rays. Just pathetic. Even first 2 wins were not an easy win

harvey16 Verified Member Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 Jays definitely can't let off the gas, they have a comfortable but not insurmountable lead. The Yankees can easily win 8 or 9 of their last 10 games with 7 of them being against Baltimore and 3 against the White Sox. Jays need to take 2 of 3 in KC Pinkfloid, Stangstag and Gen.Disarray 3

He's essentially started his spring training in the middle of September, and so far he looks like it. He literally has zero value except for power and he hurts our defense especially if Bo is a DH. 24 minutes ago, Terminator said: Tony Taters just homered again in Buffalo He's ready They both can't be true. Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 3.5 up on the Yankees with 9 games left on our schedule. Jays: @ KC, vs. BOS, vs. TB Yankees: @ BAL (x 4), vs. CWS, vs. BAL If the Jays go 6-3, the Yanks can't catch us If the Jays go 5-4, the Yankees would have to go 10-0 to win the division If the Jays go 4-5, the Yankees need to go 9-1 If the Jays go 3-6, the Yankees need to go 8-2 If the Jays go 2-7, the Yankees need to go 7-3 If the Jays go 1-8, the Yankees need to go 6-4 If the Jays go 0-9, the Yankees need to go 5-5 Yankees schedule is cake but some of these pitching matchups might make it tougher than it seems. They are lined up to face Trevor Rogers twice and the ChiSox are lined up to start Smith, Perez and Martin which isn't awful. BatFlip, Stangstag, Spanky__99 and 1 other 3 1
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 If you told me before this series that it would be a split, then I probably would have been happy with it, more so because the Jays couldn't win in Tampa on a dare, not because it's a great outcome. But whatever. Take 2/3 in KC now, and then go back home with a chance to put it away. Stangstag 1

They were winnable games, sometimes you just tip your cap. Hardly s*** the bed imo. Also Chandler Simpson taking back that Kirky 3 run HR hurt. Changed the series right there. max silver, Pinkfloid and Stangstag 3
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 Don't worry you guys. I'm not bothered in the slightest about what happened in Tampa. The Yankees are probably going to win 6 of their final 10. They could win 7 and I wouldn't be surprised. 8 is probably the max. The Jays need to simply try and win each remaining series and that right there would take care of it no matter what. But truthfully, as long as they don't get swept in any of the 3 remaining series they will be fine. Stangstag 1

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 You also have to wonder how much the Yanks will even try to win the division. They've got some old players and some that are dinged up and they will want to line up Fried/Rodon to pitch the wild card games. They'll want their top relievers to be fresh as well. They might prioritize rest during that final homestand instead of trying to go all out for a long shot AL East bid. Omar 1

Yes, I think they have resigned themselves to the fact that they are not going to win the East. Besides resting starting pitching to line up with the WC games you may even see Judge sit for a game or two.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 A lot of coping happening right now. Our offense has looked largely crappy lately, that's a fact. I don't want to hear about opposition pitching. I promise you the opposition pitching we're about to face in a couple of weeks is tougher. Guerrero has not been stepping up in the absence of Bo. The division is still in pretty good shape, but it's not over and these guys need to lock in. Terminator, Spanky__99 and hanton 1 2
