You were counting on Pina to not give up three or four runs in three innings. I know it's Chicago but he's a very mediocre pitcher. There was always a good chance he would give up those three or four runs and force us to use another arm. 

It's not like Berrios has ever struggled with fatigue, he probably gets through seven in around 90 pitches.

Thankfully Sandlin holds the lead to 4. If it became a sAvE sItUaTiOn, then Hoffman would have been warming up. Just let Sandlin finish it at this point. If he's the only actual reliever used in this game, then no biggie.

Berrios is starting to get some mileage on his arm and it was a valiant attempt to get 3 innings out of Manny Piñata against a s*** team before optioning him after the game

we've got an off day Thursday and can use some lower leverage guys to finish it off

manny piñata can still get optioned and all in all the pen usage has been lighter the past couple of games

Looks like Green coming in. That's fine too. He's been better lately, but still not someone I'd care about using in this spot. As long as Hoffman/Little/Rodriguez/Fisher are not used (and Burr as well, I guess), then that's still a win at the end of the day.

Schneider's pitching management reminds me of the wild card series... If we advance to the wild card, I think he will pull our starting pitcher early in the wild card...

Actually I rarely if ever have wined about Schneider's bullpen usage, I'm one of the few that rarely does, so of all the times to call me out you pick the most idiotic one.

He has this kind of aura that he seem to have all the answers to everything but in reality, he is at best a mediocre manager who should not be leading a team in the post season
