Too much game left to go, and Berrios is unfortunately capable of laying a stinker at any moment. Losing this game is going to suck hard for somebody. I hear you. At 7-0 there was a nagging feeling like we shouldn't get too comfortable. I mean, we outplayed the Yanks over the first two games and they still scored 4 & 5 runs in each loss. It just really irks me that we could all see the 6 run inning unravelling for Berrios and NO ONE on the coaching staff thought to go to the mound and give him a breather, talk strategy, etc. Maybe that doesn't change a thing but with a team suffering from recent poor starter performances, you'd think Berrios should've had someone come out to give him a reset. Not generally a Schneider hater but he really does have a deer-in-the-headlights look to him when the game starts moving quickly.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2025 Posted July 3, 2025 Barger's sinewy frame putting the fear of God into Boone.
keggy Verified Member Posted July 3, 2025 Posted July 3, 2025 If the Yankees lose this game it will absolutely break their back
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2025 Posted July 3, 2025 Let the second guessing begin on whether he should have walked Barger and faced Clement. Terminator 1
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2025 Posted July 3, 2025 I didn't even know Rice was catcher, also.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2025 Posted July 3, 2025 I switched over to the Yankees feed. Michael Kay is so pissed right now he's not even talking at all. Just "strike 1"..... silence.........."strike 2"........silence......... I cant even describe the joy it brings me to hear the absolute despair in his silence.
