jaysthebest Verified Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Clement single-handedly ended the inning.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Not a chance Ernie was out there, but no definitive angle to prove it otherwise.

Laika Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Big inning here. If Turnbull gets through it, the Jays can go to some good RP to finish the game. Spanky__99 1
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 The Cubs should send John Schneider a gift basket after this series.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 I think Turnbull goes another.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Turnbull looking like a total crafty vet out there. Saving his best bullets for the bigs like any true vet would. G-Snarls and Spanky__99 1 1
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Wonder how long they plan to use Turnbull here. They obviously want him to be a little stretched out, so 2 innings isn't much work, but they also want to win this game, plus Schneider is going to be scratching himself from withdrawal symptoms if he doesn't make a pitching change soon. Laika Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 good time to steal, Gimenez. go for it.
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 That was not a good situation for the bunt there. Wow Jays24 1

Masterbather Verified Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 I would leave Turnbull in to start the inning.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 My guess is Turnbull starts the inning and then Little comes in for the lefty. That seems to be Schneider's pattern.

keggy Verified Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Turnbull should start the inning regardless. If he gets the first two he should face the lefty.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Nope, right to Little. I agree with this even if Little hasn't had great command his last few times out. Turnbull's BP fastball was just waiting to get demolished. Spanky__99 1

glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Nevermind. Little in. Schneider needed that pitching change for his own health. His hands were shaking. Jays24 1
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Surprising Turnbull didn't come back out unless he was on a previously agreed upon pitch limit or...... it's Schneider being Schneider. Jays24 1
keggy Verified Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Schneider is waiting for 2 outs 2 strikes in the bottom of the ninth to bring in Hoffman
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Just now, hanton said: Surprising Turnbull didn't back out unless he was a previously agreed upon pitch limit or it's Schneider being Schneider. Probably pre-game plan to have Lauer-Fisher-Turnbull get through 7 and then go to Little and Rodriguez in the 8th and 9th if it was a save situation.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Soon the Dodgers will be calling us begging for pitching help Used to be the other way around Muah ah ah ah ah!
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Lol... why do you guys micro-manage? 90% of the time or more we're fine.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 The Cardinals suck ass....how the hell do these guys have a winning record?? lmao
Masterbather Verified Member Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Surely other teams will eventually realize that if you never swing, Little will almost certainly not be able to throw 3 strikes before he throws 4 balls. neverbeenhere and Jays24 2
