Carlos Carrasco, lol

Any good team should have 6+ runs on him so the Jays will probably scratch out 2 while Berrios gets hammered

Carrasco might be the biggest gas can currently holding a rotation spot for a team not based in Baltimore. This should be an easy W. The team scores 6 runs on 18 hits in a 6-4 win.

6 runs on 18 hits? Dreaming.

Would take this offense nearly 30 hits, 4 of the runs would score on sac flies, and the other 2 on GIDPs with the bases loaded and none out.

The Blue Jays are exactly what Carrasco needs to turn his season around and prove he's still a ML starter.

Naw bro, Jays hitting three long balls and chasing Carrasco early.  You heard it here first.

Toronto Blue Jays MLB rankings:

  • Hits, 14th
  • HR, 29th
  • 2B, 8th
  • BB, 19th
  • SO, 3rd fewest
  • GIDP, tied 5th most
  • SB, 18th

This team has the most sad/hilarious offensive identity.

We like players who don't strikeout but also don't hit home runs but DO hit into lots of double plays

The ideal baseball player just slapping it directly at the 2B all game long

Alexa, what is the polar opposite of "lineup synergy"?
*robot voice* according to jayscentre.com the exact opposite of lineup synergy is to hit Andres Gimenez directly in front of Alejandro Kirk for weeks on end

We are in NY, so there's probably a good probability that we'll hit a couple of cheap HRs to RF that are only dingers in like 2 of 32 ball parks.  If we can't hit HRs in Yankee Stadium, then we are f*cked.

I thought for sure the Jays would be at least top 3 in singles, but they are tied for 8th. The one/only thing they are good at and they aren't even top 5. Sad times. Maybe they can climb back into the top 5 in singles after tonight. Carrasco is good hitting, so it will be singles galore most likely.

A 9 for 90 series will knock you down a few pegs

Is Varsho up with the big club yet?   Getting desperate here.

I love Varsho, but when people are missing his bat in the lineup, things are getting bleak.

He played back to back games in CF in AAA the last two days so he should be very close. Maybe this weekend.

Get him up here. He's the king of pulling soft flies 350 feet. This joke stadium is made for him.

Roden and Wagner in the doghouse facing a crappy righty, damn. To be fair, we probably need Ernie at third with the rockets that are gonna be hit to the hot corner against Berrios.

Lukes and Barger seems like better bets to pull the ball into right field as well
