I’m not a believer at all. Doesn’t walk, poor stat cast indicators, and will probably play way too much. Hopefully he’s a strict bench guy when Varsho gets back. DH ABs for Wagner will dry up with Varsho taking an OF spot and Santander moving to DH. So I think Clement probably goes into what will be close to a strict platoon with Wagner at 3B. Defensive replacement too.

I think fully healthy he's on the bench at least vs RHP. Then you sub him in for defence late in the game since Wagner isn't that good at 3rd.

The odds of Straw getting a hit off Houck is not great. Springer just had to miss a game for back spasms, he's old, it's freezing cold, and we don't have an off day left on this road trip. It's not ideal but it is what it is. To add, Lukes isn't that bad. He projects better than Straw does anyway and especially against righties, defense included. Take a chill pill sir. :) I think I was pretty chilled... there are like 5 other people also talking about Springer too lol. Disagree about Lukes over Straw but it's fine. Anyways, let's go Jays!!

This is undue criticism on your part. hanton, saskjayfan, Spanky99 and 1 other 4

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 Damn nice play for a guy like Santander lol

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 Yall were complaining about Gausman whiffs/strikeouts?? Orgfiller 1
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 Gausman’s fastball has been phenomenal tonight. I actually think he’s counteracting the strategy of hitters sitting on the splitter so he’s blowing them away with fastballs high and low. Terminator 1
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 Jesus, way to give Gausman a breather boys.

Laika Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 Okay time to string together a walk and three singles so we can get the go ahead run
Vancouverite Verified Member Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 If Gausman ends up having a solid season this year he might very well be in the running for one the best FA signings of all time for the Jays
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 Masterful AB against Campbell. He’s been featuring the fastball heavily for like 3 straight innings, young rookie, so he throws all offspeeds, gets two whiffs on the splitter, before pumping fastballs right back in the same low spots. Destroyed.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2025 Posted April 10, 2025 Could the same people who showed concern over Gausman's lack of K's before this game show the same concern for the team's lack of home runs? John_Havok, Orgfiller, Stangstag and 1 other 2 2
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2025 Posted April 10, 2025 Gausman mowing them down with almost exclusively 94mph fastballs loll

I wasn't concerned about Gausman, but I was always going to be concerned about home runs with this team. There's just not a lot of places where it's going to come from. That having been said this is becoming an extreme slump. Still early and very cold out there. Jays24 1

saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2025 Posted April 10, 2025 Someone find some wood to knock on, but Bo has been incredibly solid defensively. His one throwing error wasn't even a routine throw. He's looked really good defensively so far this yearl Jays24 1
