Kirk’s value comes mostly from defense. The Jays have to accept that at this point. He’s not going to hit like he did in 2022 again. Just bat him lower in the lineup and hope he’s around league average offensively.

Problem is the whole lineup is filled with number 7 to 9 hitters so that's why they're hoping Kirk can actually provide something. 

Agree that we might as well try others hoping for different results though.
