It's a long season.  Vlad will hit eventually.  Heck after April last year he was doing terrible but turned it around in a big way.

Probably because of the manner they are losing. Lots of winnable games this series and they got swept.

Add in Vladdy looking like a groundout machine and proving zero offence so far you’re going to get people souring on him and rightfully so. You want to demand 500M, at least back it up with your play on the field.

We brought in a new hitting coach this year.  It's going to be interesting to see if he makes any difference.  Some people on here were adamant that the hitting coach has a tangible impact and our last hitting coach was the issue.  

So far - this looks very similar to the past 2 years unfortunately.

Not nonsense, but can't get too excited after a 7 game sample size. 

Let's hope the Jays turn it around tomorrow. Tough getting swept by the Mets. Especially when 1 or 2 games were winnable.

That's not particularly fair. Vlad started the 2021 season on fire and carried it forward for nearly the entire season. He had a bad month to start the 2024 season before being MLB's second best qualified hitter for the next 5 months.

Just lost back to back 1 run games and the $500 million dollar man had no homers, no extra base hits and 1 ribeye. Maybe he'll wait until June and the Jays are out of it before he starts performing like the star he thinks he is again?
