Reading some.of these takes about this front office and this team in this thread is quite comical. How wrong most of us were

Raising the floor of the team this season has been just as important as raising its ceiling and he's been an important part of that. Props to the guys like Straw, Clement, Lukes...they are the backbone of the team.

Criticizing the FO of any baseball team is low-hanging fruit. 

It's cliche today to describe any oversight as "the most egregious failure in the history of the franchise... " etc...

Did Atkins fail to improve certain areas enough? Sure. But his overall process was fine and not a single team in baseball improved every need they had as well as they wanted, not even the Dodgers. That's just not how sports work.
