I believe that 1.75M covers the cost of his buyout

Good.  Because he WILL be bought out.

Imagine if Ross just thinks Myles Straw at 2/$10M is a decent get? And he is the 4th OF all year.

I mean he projects for 0.8 WAR / 600 PA... $5M is basically the going rate for that LMAO just look at Josh Bell's deal this year.

Wow!

Imagine a late inning defensive alignment of:

Loperfido, Varsho, Straw

Vlad, Gimenez, Bo, Bregman

Probably drops the bullpen ERA by 0.50

Why did you write the infield backwards? You menace

I just noticed the Jays have no 1B backup.  Bring back Craig's son?

You’re losing it

first the infield is backwards and then you forgot Cavan is a Royal

I know the reputation of the entire profession of journalism is in the toilet right now, but baseball journalists have to be the worst of all.

Do any of them operate operate under any sort of journalistic code whatsoever?

Maybe Passan? All he does is not post the ******** and then someone tells him after there's been an official signing though.

Then there's the way they use their personal feelings to vote for the HoF. Just a terrible profession.

Jeff Passan and Robert Murray are the only good ones. Passan is obviously the gold standard, only posts when there is actual news, never posts clickbait. Everyone else are engagement vultures who aim for views and followers. That's what MLB media has come to. Morosi isn't the exception, he's the norm.

Loperfido has 74 games at 1B,  Clement has 15 games, Wagner has 67 games. We don't have anyone great to backup but we have 3 guys on the 40 that can play it in a pinch.

Half the people on this board have no concept of money and think that once you have a million dollars anything more than that is just a frivolous and unnecessary waste that you wouldn't need or even use

$1 Million only gets you a fixer upper in Toronto. lol

The Jays just spent 12M on more than a fixer upper.. lol Id call it a major reclamation project.

Metallica should bring Myles Straw up on stage when they're playing at the Rogers Centre in April. Dedicate "The Shortest Straw" to him. 😆

I saw an NHL player do a tax breakdown of playing  in North America with a $1m dollar contract. You end up with mid $400s ~ after agent/taxes etc, etc.

I wish Bo would come to terms with the fact that he doesn't have the arm for SS and should be on 2B.

Sure does.  Between taxes and agent fees, that's what is left.  Seems about right if you ask me.

Little doubt Gimenez would shine at SS, given a full off season and spring training to adjust.

(Unless the arm isn't as good as the glove?)
