Yea possibly but i'm taking my chances.

It needs to be pre arb guys with a ton of potential and top prospects at least.

They SHOULD trade him for a big haul right now though. A realistic top offer would be the top 5 or so prospects / rookies of a solid farm system. Like, Nolan McClean, Jett Williams, Carson Benge, Brandon Sproat, and someone else from the Mets. And the Mets might even not want to do that. 

The Yankees probably get uncomfortable after offering Schlitter, Rice, and Jones, tbh. 

They're not winning s*** all with him ON the team the next couple years

I think its any team i'd do it with its the yankees. 
 

I think Schittler, Rice, Jones, Lombard gives you a possible number 2 starter, a guy in Rice who has star potential as a power hitter at first, lombard up the middle, and then a dice roll on massive power in Jones. 

I'd want more than that for 4 years of Skenes, but its a start. 
 

Edit: you could also go sasaki, rushing, sheehan as a base. The only problem is the dodgers have tons of young pitching but so do the pirates.

The success of the team this year can be directly attributed to the decision to punt him to NY and bring in Lauer to do his job better. Imagine the improvement in clubhouse vibes when the team didn’t have to handle the shame of one of their guys chucking 80 mph fastballs

The Blue Jays didn't even give Yarbrough a second look as a depth option following a half a season where he was legitimately kind of good for them. The Yankees guaranteed him a roster spot two weeks into FA after he was injured for most of the year and not even that good for them, lol. Entering his age 34 season btw.

Stark difference in what winning organizations do vs those struggling to keep up.

It’s kind of incredible the difference between an org like Milwaukee and the Yankees. One is miles ahead in intelligence but has next to no money to spend, the other is ancient and has a super payroll, lol.

There is an interview with cash man somewhere on Yankees Reddit and probly YouTube from last week.

He goes on about how Boone wants fans to think the analytics team is making all the decisions behind the scenes.

Then he went on to basically say no, all the bad decisions are directly on Boone.

I know we all know that the Yankees manager position is always going to be there to take 90% of the media flack.  But it’s funny to see the GM confirm that.  Cashman obviously is a terrible public speaker so no wonder he doesn’t want the attention.

I feel like all of these guys are expensive enough at that price point that they should take it, lest their market be even more hampered by the fact that teams will now have to forfeit a draft pick to sign them. I feel like nobody is giving them a 4 year deal, and if they are they could make anywhere from 30-50% of the deal value in just taking the QO.
