9th round pick in last year's draft, with a 148 wRC+ in A+ ball. 17% BB rate v. 14% K rate. He's old that level and will likely never amount to anything, but this still seems like 3 times the return I expected for Justin Turner.

He's played 8 games at AA man. Those results are useless. It's his age 23 season and he was just drafted last year. Horwitz spent most of his Age 23 season in A+ ball too, which a lower wRC+. It's f***ing JUSTIN TURNER we traded - could you look at the bright side for once?

Cot's says we are about 6.8 Mil over and that includes all of the trades up until Turner. This gets us right there and then we we trade Kikuchi we will be comfortably under it.

Can't believe the M's are eating his entire remaining salary! They are desperate. This is huge in helping the Jays get under the Luxury Tax Threshold. Will allow them to go over next year at only a 20% tax penalty instead of 50% since it will reset. I have a feeling they ate gonna be going all in next year and will be big spenders in the FA market in the off season. This actually gives me hope.
