Needed that win! Let's win the series tomorrow. Yimi Garcia is untouchable right now, by far the best pen arm right now, the velo and movement on his pitches are insane. Drastically improved over last year. One of the few bright spots so far. Rodriguez looked pretty good out there as well!

People would’ve rather kept Trevor Richards over Yimi Garcia lol. Good look finding a reliever as good as this for $6M.

Some bright spots today:

Yariel Rodriguez looks like the real deal.

Varsho grand slam thanks to George Springer's coaching.

IKF with some nice defense.

Green/Garcia are our shutdown tandem right now.

Our 2024 Ace, Berrios on the bump tomorrow.

I never said that, as I recall the talk was about making room for a bat financially. I take Yimi all day over Richard's. They've both been good. Lame call out, dude.

Huh? It was never an either or situation lol

From the topic at hand, you're absolutely right if I remember it correctly.

It was about making room for a Pham or bat of essence. And staying under the cap. Totally different context.

He's keeping our BP afloat

I want to see Yariel force his way into the starting rotation permanently. Let that be a "problem" for them to figure out. :)

I’m more upset wasting money on IKF on why we didn’t get a bat.

At some point they will need to add one. It’s great we won today. But we scored all 5 runs in the first. It would also be nice if we could have some Minor League emergence. Roden is the guy I have my eye on possibly being that guy. Not off to the best start of the Season power wise however.

Looks like he will get his next start on the west coast against the Padres or maybe the Dodgers if they push him back. Hopefully he gets it done against a deeper lineup. If he does well and they continue to stretch him out we could have something here. This is the kind of stuff that makes the season enjoyable even when we don't have the best team in the division.

IKF would be fine as a slightly expensive super utility guy that you have to back up 2B/SS/3B and provides days off for guys and covers people on IL stints.

He would also be OK if you could hide him in the lineup at #8 cause you've got an OF loaded with guys who can hit. But we don't have that at all

Dude? IKF at 3rd, Roden is an OF? You mean Barger, Martinez...

*IKF puts up half a WAR in 2 weeks playing the position identified as our biggest weakness this offseason*

Yimi Garcia might have the best stuff in our bullpen.

If Garcia keeps pitching like that, he should stay closing even when Romano comes back.

Yes and possibly yes.
