On a good team, they'd probably slot in at like:

1.

2.

3. Green

4.

5. Swanson

6. Little

7. Burr

8. Rodriguez

I think it'll go down like this

1. ?

2. Green

3. Rodriguez

4. Swanson

5. ? [Lefty]

6. Little

7. Burr

8. Pop

Get a starter, 2 big bats and we're actually a really good team again.

Dodgers got Snell for a song when you look at what these other pitchers are getting, 5/160 is what he was basically projected for, just the Dodgers dangled the deferral carrot. That was cheap, in hindsight so was Kooch. These other dudes are getting well over the projections, Severino chased the $$$... the A's get back in the revenue sharing club, even if their playing in a minor league park and will trade him next deadline. Win/Win... lmao

As I was saying the A's have to overspend to attract players and keep their revenue sharing dreams alive, they really should extend Rooker soon...

Apparently Loaisiga to the Mets for 3/27?

Atkins is probably panicking at this point. Just fixing the bullpen is going to be incredibly expensive.

When you have a chance to sign a 30-year old replacement level reliever who's pitched 21 IP the last two seasons combined you do it and ask questions later.

It appears the report was fake. Loaisiga himself said he hasn't signed with any team.

Hah... 8.5M signing bonus and money is deferred on the 17M one year deal for Conforto...

Basically just a way to get around California state taxes. If his primary residence is in a state like Florida, Texas, Arizona etc the signing bonus is taxed there instead of California which has like a 12-14% tax rate.

Take this FWIW but I got a friend who works in a front office and they told me the Yankees are making a serious push for Kyle Tucker. Says the Astros are pretty budget-constrained and they have very little confidence they can resign him, so best to move on and get value. Astros still want to compete though, so they're looking for major league ready pieces back. Package on the table is Jasson Dominguez + more. He gets the sense what else goes back depends on whether the Yankees sign another starter and if they do, Luis Gil could be part of the package. Also thinks the Yankees would like to immediately extend him if they can trade for him.

Ross needs to get on the horn and get Domínguez and Gil for Vlad

Why would the Cubs move Suzuki? Are they just rebuilding now and want to strike while these prices are insanely high?

They think Happ, Bellinger, and PCA are good enough in the OF

They hate Suzuki's defense too. I think he made some pretty bad plays last year but on the whole his metrics aren't too terrible. I wonder what it would take to get him. He can hit and he's got 2 years 17 AAV left on his deal.

Trade some of the 50 2b the Jays have for him.

Do it! The guy has a great eye and a good bat - the Jays could definitely use him in the lineup.

Below average defense, but slot him next to Varsho in the outfield and I'll gladly take his +3 WAR contribution at the plate. Price tag isn't too bad either, especially for his age 30 and 31 seasons.

Seems like he has played exclusively in RF, maybe a switch to LF would help his defensive grades

He's a better hitter than Santander and won't cost $125M. His sprint speed is fine, so I can't imagine he's any worse than Tony defensively.

Their rotation is not chicken fried, it's Cole Fried
