Masterbather Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Come on boys show some fight. Don't go down like this.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Moreno's HR last night was a massive go ahead blast. Arizona media saying that Moreno tweaked something in July and his power numbers have been up since without sacfricing obp. . I know I'm beating a dead horse but what a bad trade that was. I guess it's really not fair to judge until the end of next season, but it doesn't look good. Who helped Moreno with the tweak? Hitting Coach? Team coaching effort? One of these 'high performance lab' crews? As a fan in 2023 I constantly hear about all these high performance approaches to making pitchers throw harder and hitters hit better. So what happened that Moreno found a tweak and Varsho didn't? Varsho is just not fixable? Jays coaching staff is behind the curve?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 That's the second consecutive defensive miscue on the first pitch of the game by the same player. He should have had that. Way to take advantage George!
Delgalladay Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Please do something Biggio. I can't take another strike out looking.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 That's the SEVENTH 'error' in 10 innings and the third by Polanco. It's so important that we finally cash one in.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Lol, Jeffers is a real piece of s*** behind the plate. He's done that a few times now, the umpires must hate him.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Author Posted October 4, 2023 Biggio take your cuts ffs!
Delgalladay Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Please put in Davis Schneider. That was such a predictable outcome.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Biggio in the 5th spot is gross and I’m not one to bitch about the lineup
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Biggio ALWAYS LOOKING AT STRIKE 3... I f***ing hate him
Scion Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I don't understand how you can look at three of those pitches and not swing... It looked like Biggio was praying for a walk.
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 what a f***ing limp dick at bat
Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Please do something Biggio. I can't take another strike out looking. Should not be batting 5th .He is not an RBI guy
Masterbather Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 What can be said that hasn't already been said several times? This team has shown us what they are for 163 games.
Scion Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Biggio in the 5th spot is gross and I’m not one to bitch about the lineup And Kirk 6th... The Jays lineup is so s***. It's hard to believe Schneider wouldn't be an upgrade on several hitters.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Biggio came into that at bat wanting to draw a walk or get caught looking. There was no in between.
Delgalladay Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I don't understand how you can look at three of those pitches and not swing... It looked like Biggio was praying for a walk. He's now struck out 8 times in 13 plate appearances in the post season. He's walked 0 times. He absolutely should not be hitting in the 5 spot.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I don't understand how you can look at three of those pitches and not swing... It looked like Biggio was praying for a walk. No aggression, plays like a pussy
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Gray is a lesson in patience with arms. Best season at 33. I remember him toiling away seasons in OAK and NY when younger. That was a major missed opportunity for us.
Casual Fan Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 It wasn't Biggio, it was vlad getting 1 pitch out
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 It wasn't Biggio, it was vlad getting 1 pitch out I don't hate Vlad's PA Got a FB, decent swing, barely missed it

That was a major missed opportunity for us. I don't understand how management and the players can see this happening over and over and over and not do anything about it.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I love umpires changing the way they do things in the playoffs for no apparent reason.
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 is this ump special? wtf was that ********
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I have never seen an umpire do that. Pull a ball out of a catcher's glove to look at it
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
