Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Oh hell yes Oh hell no. Votto may not be a good thing. Another player north of 35 who is well past his best before date. Taking playing time away from the young bucks. No thank you.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 MRI on Garcia No structural damage
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Houck (tomorrow) murders RHB Bello (two days) is better against RHB Pivetta has reverse splits this year and is pretty neutral for his career so I guess this might be the best game of the three to actually play Springer or Turner??? Hopefully they f***ing sit the next two games jesus christ Toronto Blue Jays you spineless f***ing limp dick no nuts organization omfg Over a larger sample it seems LHB's do better against him than RHB. Springer and Turner have good career numbers against him, but those are kinda meaningless when one at age 34 looks like 1997 Joe Carter and the other at age 39 can't hit RHP to save his life anymore. Whatever, vetrins gonna get priority on this team. Kinda wish Rogers cut payroll after the 2023 season. The team probably would have been better off.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 MRI on Garcia No structural damage Ok great news. Sounds like the IL is still a possibility but it's just a mild nerve issue.

Taking playing time away from the young bucks. No thank you. If Votto is banging in AAA they can figure it out by the time he is ready. It will be close to the trade deadline so they could potentially move Kiermaier (if we are paying the salary there will be a lot of teams who would take him) or Turner (if we are paying his salary some contenders who doesn't want to give up much for a righty bat would want him). Or perhaps there will be an injury.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 This has been a really good development for the franchise.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Yes, free agents seem much more willing to come here than they had been in a very long time
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Isn't the true question driving these decisions, who would the casuals rather see in the lineup card, to use one example - Springer or Barger?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Are Horwitz and Barger injured? Springer and Turner are not going to get it done, against a decent RHP to boot. This organization is sad but on the bright side, more losing = Ross is gone sooner (hopefully).
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Pardinho promoted to Buffalo, if he shoves there too then he should be up this summer Honestly though why even send him to Buffalo?
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Pardinho promoted to Buffalo, if he shoves there too then he should be up this summer Honestly though why even send him to Buffalo? Not sure. Your three best relievers are on the IL there is plenty of room right now. He’s like 5’8 and had TJ already

Because Buffalo is where he needs to go to have his sparkling BB/9 bloat to almost a walk per inning
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 He's just going to go to AAA and get f***ed over by the ABS system and lose all of this confidence Good tanking strategy, I like it
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Pardinho promoted to Buffalo, if he shoves there too then he should be up this summer Honestly though why even send him to Buffalo? Mayza, Cabrera, Little, the other lefty, Pop….theres just too much quality in the pen right now. Seriously, between not playing the young guys enough in the bigs to moving prospects at a snail’s pace, it feels like Atkins is intentionally messing with us this season. Give us something to look forward to man. Even if Pardinho stinks, I’d rather watch him pitch than Pop.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 MiLB deal for James Kaprielian Good signing. He's probably cooked but he was once pretty interesting so def worth a look.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Orelvis!! Has entered the building!
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Hopefully Orelvis gets some PA's before Bichette is back. Power is very intriguing, and something this team really lacks.
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Orelvis not in tonight's lineup but at least all the other Buffalo guys are.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Eisert > Mayza right now. Should have kept him up.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 I'm going to eat 50 hotdogs tonight!
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Damn Bo, hurts. why? he has been f***ing brutal praying for a Springer injury too
