Robert would be a good add. Crochet too.

I would like to see the Jays kick the tires on Mike Trout as well. Get the Angels to pay for some of the contract and we can keep him healthy.

We'll pay for the whole contract, just take Springer back the other way haha

Yeah his deal is really nice for sure, but that 36.7 K-rate this year is frightening and his D value has dropped which also not good, although we wouldn't want him for CF.

To be fair, it's a pretty small sample size and he's coming off an injury.

Our farm system blows. They can have anyone they want really.

Only ones they'd want are probably Tiedemann and Martinez, which I'd have no issues with, but not sure that would be enough. Others in the system lack the upside that would be enticing in trades unless you want to go further down with guys like Bonilla and Nimmala (neither one is setting the world on fire). Unfortunately it doesn't feel like the Jays have the system to make a blockbuster trade, but I agree, let the White Sox choose who they want. The Jays aren't developing anyone like Robert any time soon, unless someone from the lower minors breaks out.

Buckle up fellas, this team is backing it's way into a first round Wild Card exit and there's nothing you can do to stop it

lol... ;)

yep just confirms what we've been saying.....

That should be the new slogan for the Jays. Bassitt/Gausman giving 0 f***s and just telling the world that they even know their offense is trash lol.

But what’s their wRC+? Thats what counts

Haha... how can this team be expected to hit when they gotta play in a "pitchers park." I have no idea how the 2021 Blue Jays hit so many homeruns but if you push the fences in, it apparently becomes harder.

Analytics are great if you know how to use them to your benefit but the one thing it did was give a voice to people who have no business talking on the game of baseball. Less geeks who wouldnt even know how to hold a bat and more testosterone making decisions in the dugouts please lol.

The nerds like do triple back flips to avoid basic common sense. If you have a team that can’t hit for s*** and good pitching and good defense, any park is a pitchers park

Its still not good.

Lol so funny that Connor still doesn’t understand what wRC+ is

Google doesn’t either I guess

wRC+ takes the statistic Runs Created and adjusts that number to account for important external factors -- like ballpark

Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman believes Toronto doesn't have a very good chance of winning games unless its pitching is strong. "As much as you try to block it out, it's really hard to. The reality is, yeah, if we don't pitch well, we probably lose," Gausman said postgame following a 3-1 loss to the Cleveland Guardians on Friday, according to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com. "We've got to be really good. That's not to say we have a lack of effort, but right now, offensively, we're struggling. Defensively, as pitchers, we need to be better. We almost have to be perfect.

"It's tough. It adds some pressure, but we're in the big leagues, and you have pressure every single day. Every game is pressure. It doesn't add any more to it, but that's just the reality of the situation we're in." Gausman surrendered three earned runs on eight hits.

Hound and Gausman beginning to take some veiled public shots at the Offence situation. Our record when we score 3 or more is great.

I can't imagine what these guys think of Bo. Not only is he out there hitting weak groundballs on the first pitch or two he sees every AB, but then he takes the field behind them and plays a position he isn't suited for and costs them a bunch of runs and extra pitches. At least the other guys on the team who can't hit provide competent defense.

RC+ is just Connor's short form scapegoat for "the nerds running this team f***ing suck and so does anyone who tries to parcel out certain data points to try to defend them". Like his hero Trump who says something but really means something else vaguely tied to it. Why that isn't obvious to everyone by now and you all pile on him every time he brings it up is beyond me.

There is no denying that the team could have used Joe Carter in the middle of the lineup these past two years. Yeah okay, he was on a stacked Jays team. He was also on an ass Cleveland team for a decade and still managed to drive in 100 RBI every year.

Bro. What exactly are you proving me wrong on?? Like there’s really good components to the stat. It’s a great stat for the most part. I mean, you need to know a lot of the stuff. But in the Jays case, it’s better to just go by OPS+. They shouldn’t get any bump for their ballpark. The run factor of Rogers shouldn’t benefit them

I think OPS+ eliminates park factor

Edit: nope I’m wrong. So just use OPS

Well, OPS plus league/yr factor

So you didn't read the explanation, gotcha. Are you confusing fWAR with wRC+? The Jays are 19th in that stat, they're poo connor.

I was just tossing out numbers. Jays are 22nd in OPS. That’s where they belong. No reason to push them up anything

Who's pushing up anything?
