jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Still seems insane that they got nothing for Ohtani...and that they will get nothing for Trout. Mind boggling...imagine the Rays in those situations? A team that had Trout and Ohtani and never even sniffed the Postseason. Just crazy!
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2024 Author Posted August 6, 2024 Matt Chapman enjoyed his best month of the season in July (.239/.368/.455) and now has homered in three straight games at the start of August.

Another big game and he's now slashing .377/.459/.811 in 14 games since the AS break. Oddly enough, he's also more than doubled his career stolen base total. He had 11 career SB entering this season, but he's 12/13 on steal attempts this year after going 11/23 in his first seven seasons.

Such a solid all around player. I suspect he'll finally get paid this offseason. It will be interesting to see how much longer he keeps up this production.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 How long until Biggio puts on a White Sox uniform? Asking for a friend on the board.
PitaBaby Verified Member Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Is he confirmed retiring? Having one of the better offensive seasons of his career. Should probably keep playing. Agreed. He still has plenty of gas left in the tank.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 Ross Stripling has a 5.72 ERA this year in 14 starts and is being relegated to the A's bullpen Without an elite pitching coach like Pete Walker, Stripling was destine to fail. The Jays sucked every ounce of value from Ross in 2022.

AMS528 Verified Member Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 For the life of me I could not remember who the hell we traded him for. Jonathan Villar, who I completely forgot we even had for a brief stretch in 2020 and who really sucked for us.
