Not surprising, knack and frasso might get a shot this season, Dodgers are filthy rich in prospects

Frasso is a 25 year old with a 6.49 xFIP in AAA. Had to be shut down in September because he reached a career high workload of 90 innings. Just saying.

Meanwhile Mitch White finished strong with a 1.78era in his last 6 starts with 40K's in 30IP.

I'm hearing they want to trade like half of them for Mike Trout

Would he come back?

Would we want him back?

He'd go wherever gives him the money he wants. But...no I don't see the Jays looking for a guy like Rowdy.

I remember being a little worried about thinning out our pitching depth when we traded this guy for Whit.

This just goes to show how s***** most depth pitchers actually are. Unless you have your own home grown optionable starters these guys tend to be completely fungible.

I know the President of his fan club was banned but for any remaining Greg Bird fans out there he is currently hitting home runs in the Australian league. If he keeps it up he could eventually work his way back to Scranton.

Something I learned today. Gruber's MLB career effectively ended as a result of the World Series triple play. Played in just 18 games after that one.

"However, the second-base umpire ruled Sanders safe. Gruber tore his rotator cuff on the play; however, he hit a key game-tying home run in the eighth inning, and the Jays won the game in walk-off fashion, later taking the series in six games.

Gruber was traded to the California Angels for Luis Sojo in December 1992. Soon after his arrival, Gruber announced that he had bulging discs in his neck. Just over two months after the trade, Gruber had shoulder surgery to repair a rotator cuff tear. Gruber was expected to be sidelined for at least eight weeks. Angels manager Buck Rodgers was angered over the news of Gruber's surgery; he felt that the Blue Jays must have known about the extent of Gruber's injury before they traded him. Rodgers said that Rene Gonzales would be the team's third baseman that year.

Gruber returned to action in June, but after playing in only 18 games, Gruber went back on the disabled list with continued neck and shoulder problems the next month. In September, the team placed Gruber on waivers. He was owed $4 million for the 1993 season, but the Blue Jays agreed to pay $1.7 million of that total.

In 1997, Gruber attempted a comeback with the Baltimore Orioles. While his performance was good enough to impress coaches and staff with the Orioles, Gruber decided to retire for good due to health-related concerns."

Two former Jays in one set of transactions. Looked at Castillo's numbers to see if he would be a possible pickup but he's been dogs s*** since he left.
