Even with his high BB rate he really limited base runners. He had the best BA against, hitters only hit .180 off him. Strider should have probably won though.

 

his WHIP was still 1.19. Wheeler and Strider were 1.08 and 1.09. He didn't limit base runners more than the top pitchers in the NL.

I mean he has a 0.6 fWAR projection

 

I think the range out ourcomes is 0 WAR to 2 WAR, $18M basically pays him for the top end

I’d be down for JDM on a 1 year deal. Brantley or Joc might be 1 year territory as well.

 

Any of them on one year deals are probably better than multi year deals for the guys who are considered to be a cut above like Teoscar, Hoskins, Soler, etc.

 

I don’t want any of those guys on multi year deals agreed

Why is no one talking about 2x Cy guy Snell?

 

I would wager he goes to San Fran. He is from the area and can probably get over the Doom loop thing going on. Also, SF is a pitchers park where hitters go to die.... So, great place to continue your legacy if a pitcher, not so much as a hitter.

Give credit to Schneider, the game plan was prob to remove him as soon as the 1st lefty came to bat and he “went with his gut” instead.

The Jays aren't going to sign that many guys and then go trade for those players on top of it.

 

That's 7 players you think they can sign? If they sign Chappy and Bellinger they go out and sign a DH and maybe a depth starter/reliever and that's it. No need for Whit, IKF, Votto, Winker, Adames and Parades if they just signed Chappy and Belly north of $300 million total.

I'm at the point where if they sign Bellinger and Chapman to the big deals, so be it.

 

Might hurt down the road, but the team should be pretty good for next season, especially if Vladdy/Kirk/Springer have any sort of bounce back.

That’s a lot of wasted money after the first 2 guys you mentioned

All I want for Christmas is a Jose Ramirez trade.

 

Imagine him squaring up with and knocking out Aaron Judge and the Yankees (both literally and figuratively) in the ALCS this year.

Doesn't he have a no trade clause? If so he'd have to agree to it which wouldn't be bush.
