Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Even with his high BB rate he really limited base runners. He had the best BA against, hitters only hit .180 off him. Strider should have probably won though. his WHIP was still 1.19. Wheeler and Strider were 1.08 and 1.09. He didn't limit base runners more than the top pitchers in the NL.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 That price is getting up there IMO I mean he has a 0.6 fWAR projection I think the range out ourcomes is 0 WAR to 2 WAR, $18M basically pays him for the top end Okay 14M
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I’d be down for JDM on a 1 year deal. Brantley or Joc might be 1 year territory as well. Any of them on one year deals are probably better than multi year deals for the guys who are considered to be a cut above like Teoscar, Hoskins, Soler, etc. I don’t want any of those guys on multi year deals agreed
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 The white Milton Bradley How’s Caminero in the DWL?
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Why is no one talking about 2x Cy guy Snell? I would wager he goes to San Fran. He is from the area and can probably get over the Doom loop thing going on. Also, SF is a pitchers park where hitters go to die.... So, great place to continue your legacy if a pitcher, not so much as a hitter.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Mozzelliak and the Cards are having a good offseason if they get both of these relievers there pen looks OK. They look to be the favorite in the NL Central with a healthy Big 3 of Wilson Contreras/Arenado/ and Goldy. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/12/cardinals-rumors-yuki-matsui-hector-neris.html

wamco Verified Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Better than Berrios who's only good once through the lineup apparently Give credit to Schneider, the game plan was prob to remove him as soon as the 1st lefty came to bat and he “went with his gut” instead.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 How long until we announce a Thor signing.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Think we can afford Chappy at 150M 6 years/ Bellinger 185M 7 years/ Whit 1 Year 6Million/ IKF 1 or 2 years at like 8million AAV/ Votto at 12 Million/ Winker 2 Mill/ Sign Ryu for 1 year 10mill with incentives. Then make some trades to get Adames and Parades and Bieber.

You don't have to vomit every single thought you have onto this forum lol The Jays aren't going to sign that many guys and then go trade for those players on top of it. That's 7 players you think they can sign? If they sign Chappy and Bellinger they go out and sign a DH and maybe a depth starter/reliever and that's it. No need for Whit, IKF, Votto, Winker, Adames and Parades if they just signed Chappy and Belly north of $300 million total.

Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I'm at the point where if they sign Bellinger and Chapman to the big deals, so be it. Might hurt down the road, but the team should be pretty good for next season, especially if Vladdy/Kirk/Springer have any sort of bounce back.

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Or we could do JD 1 year 6million and put the cash elsewhere
Marew Verified Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Or we could do JD 1 year 6million and put the cash elsewhere Think we can get Bruce bochy too?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 All I want for Christmas is a Jose Ramirez trade. Imagine him squaring up with and knocking out Aaron Judge and the Yankees (both literally and figuratively) in the ALCS this year.

It would be pretty bush if Cleveland traded him a year after signing his sweetheart contract to stay there.

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Speaking of Cleveland they just DFA'ed Alfonso Rivas. He's Free. Looks like Adam Frazier with some CF pop. Not sure about his D. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/12/guardians-dfa-alfonso-rivas.html https://www.fangraphs.com/players/alfonso-rivas/21560/stats?position=1B

He definitely just wants to stay in Cleveland.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 He's only good twice through the lineup. Not the type of ace you want in the playoffs. Schneider said "hold my beer"
