Kyle Schwarber's extremely crazy batting line

.197/.344/.819

.819 OPS

121 BB

45 HR

He walks a lot and hits a ton of stupidly long HR's , but balanced out by a sub .200 BA

"Lead off hitter"

He's good, I recall thinking he'd be a good bat here, target.

Sorry ass Red Sox

Bello gives up a 6 spot in the 2nd inning to completely blow the 4-0 lead they had built up

Fack LOL

He's the reincarnation of Adam Dunn - although it appears Kyle enjoys baseball.

His DRS and OAA are both about -20 with 100 games in LF.

If he had strictly DH'd all year I think he'd actually gain about 1 WAR.

That's always been his problem

He should really move to 1B/DH but they can't really do that with Harper's situation

He is DHing almost full time now and Harper is playing 1B since his elbow is apparently now good enough. But yeah that was a huge issue for them.

Philly have too many DH guys.

The fully healthy Rangers lineup is truly terrifying

They probably don't have the pitching anymore for a deep playoff run though

Slugger teams are more fun to watch over Pitching/D teams anyways.

I think that’s why we mostly hate watching the Jays this season.

The only games that the Rangers are going to lose from here on out are the ones they lose to Seattle. Angels are the only other series they have and they're completely rudderless at this point. That won't be enough to keep them at bay. They're going to be in. I just hope they dominate Seattle then.

bro they piggy-backed Jon Gray with Martin Perez today

they could lose any given game like, 8-7

Angels couldn't win an intersquad game at this point. Hopefully Texas crushes Seattle, or Houston continues to be weird and keep losing.

Jays own the tiebreaker over Houston, so if HOU falls off then that would be ideal. Not sure how likely that is though.

The Angels do indeed blow but it's still Sandoval / Detmers / Canning lining up vs Texas. And some okay hitters in the LAA lineup.

I bet LAA takes one from them.

Would be nice if at least Seattle lost today, King is tough

Yeah tonight is a big game. Gausman vs. King tonight and the Yanks have Cole on the hill tomorrow. Need to get the W tonight.

King is tough. Of our remaining games, we have two against King, two against Cole, and two against Glasnow.

It's going to be rough. Ideally Houston and Seattle lose today although I don't have much faith in Oakland.

We've got a great shot. Our schedule is probably harder than anyone other than the Mariners but with the AL West teams playing each other so many times it's going to be tough for all of them to leap frog us, and it's downright impossible if we play well.

7-4 and we are guaranteed to get in. 6-5 and it's almost a statistical certainty. Drop the record all the way to 4-7 and we still have about a 60% chance of getting in. It seems weird to think that 4-7 gets us in still but the Mariners and Rangers need to split their games 4-3 AND sweep or win two of their other 3 games for them both to pass us.

That's not impossible but when broken down you can see why our odds are so high right now despite only having a 1 game lead and not holding the tiebreakers.

If they split their games 4-3, that's very bad for us. Texas only has the angels and they suck. Seattle has Houston but the pitching favors Seattle so I think they take two of three from Houston. I'm starting to think Houston might be the most catchable team.

The Rangers get tons of credit for playing the Angels and then you ignore Hou playing KC so I'm convinced you are just trolling at this point and I'm done replying lol

Houston plays KC but he first game is against Ragans and we have a tie break on Houston. That's a massive factor. Houston might also have one more loss than both Texas and Seattle by the end of today, another huge factor.

Look at it this way, if today's results hold, and let's say we drop another six of our remaining games. That would mean we only need Houston to lose four of their remaining games, but we would need both Seattle and Texas to lose six of their remaining games. Which do you think is most likely?
