Their rotation of old f***s has been disastrous:

 

Quintana - broke before the season even started

Carrasco - kind of broken, and terrible when he's pitched

Verlander - hurt, then replacement level when he's pitched

Scherzer and Senga have both just been about average, and you expect more than that from them

 

They're paying those 5 starters 128M this year, and they've been worth a combined 1.7 fWAR

I don't think that was done by RA, I believe it was done by whomever was in charge of baseball acquisitions after AA decided to leave.
