The Giants have a s*** load of money... They can def still do more

 

They seem like a better fit for Chapman than Bellinger at this point but looks like they are still in on Bellinger based on some stuff I’m reading online. They have a lot of OFs but all of them except Haniger should be tradable so they could make it work. More teams in on Belly, the better.

If the board charges French Soup per post, they could probably eliminate the need for advertising revenue...

Joey Gallo would be an intriguing platoon bat who could DH/play some LF and be had for cheap. Hit 38 HR's and put up a 4.1 WAR season back in 2021.

Does anyone know of the coffee maker they were advertising a few weeks ago has a warranty? The filter thing doesn’t fit so it’s spilling coffee every morning but I can’t get a precise enough picture to prove it. Some mornings worse than others and I can’t pin point why. Figure anyone else who bought it can tell me?

 

Before I pull the trigger on the back yard hammock stand I figure I would ask if anyone can review it for me as well.

 

Don’t want to end up in the same situation with the coffee maker where it’s almost not worth shipping or hiring a coffee maker repair company.

Looks like the Rays could be selling off a lot of pieces this offseason.

 

Would definitely target Paredes for 3B or Arozarena for the OF.

Seriously, Lee was projected at 5/50 and 5/60 this money is stupid.

 

That type of contract can hurt, a lot.

 

His numbers in 2022 were amazing and much better than Kim's. Kim has been like a 5 WAR player. His K-rate is phenomenal. The upside is huge.

 

Another way to look at it is how would you rate a triple a player with those numbers? What if Horwitz was a centerfielder with great defense and baserunning?

 

Of course no one is saying he is going to hit .340 in MLB. But reasonable translation is .290 .350 .400 or something and if his defense is good that is good player.

Not sure you can simply ignore his 2023 season - which wasn't nearly as good at all.

His career averages are great. 20, 21, and 22 were all similar. 2023 is the outlier, but still decent in itself.

 

I think he had an injury in 2023. Before that was tracking to big time power development. Some call him the next Mike Trout (some being the frenchsoup guy).

 

I won't go that far. I call him a .290 .350 .400 hitter with good defense. Or the center field version of Spencer Horwitz.

 

There is a lot of variation to his outcomes. If he comes in low it's a waste of money. If he comes in high it's a superstar.

I don't disagree with this - I'm just saying he wasn't nearly as good last year. He could be the next Shin-soo Choo, which would be really exciting. My mind thought there was a lot more KBO players who have come over with big time numbers, only to fall flat in the majors (typically because their power doesn't translate at all) - but when I Google it - I don't find many good examples. I did find Dae-Ho Lee - he was a beast in the KBO and didn't do much in the majors, but he didn't come over until he was 34 (although he went on to post another couple of good years when he returned to the KBO the following year).

They were never going to pay Glasgow his 25M for 2024, somebody else was going to

 

And Margo is getting 10M

 

So 35M salary gone for league minimum guys sounds about right
