What I’m saying, and don’t know, is if part of the CBA on suspensions in that’s it’s legally binding. The only thing he could sue for is being blackballed it that case. Not an improper suspension. Not sure if that’s what was being said in regards to him suing mlb

Here's your answer:

Currently pitching for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball, Bauer could theoretically sue MLB over his suspension and loss of millions of dollars. He could argue he was punished for conduct he never committed, and that MLB should not have found the allegations against him credible.

But Bauer would face long odds. Federal law instructs courts to review arbitration awards, especially those governed by a labor agreement, with high deference. Bauer’s arbitration followed a process his union collectively bargained.

I just saw this

And I've never seen such overwhelming evidence in a case like this. First of all, what an evil ****, and second, how f***ing dumb do you have to be to take a video of yourself after allegedly being assaulted where you are very clearly perfectly fine?

I guess she was really relying on the believe all women s*** and that no one would question anything.

This makes me so mad. It's a disservice to women generally, it's a disservice to the male victims and what kind of ******* is perfectly fine with destroying someone's life for a financial payout?

She belongs in jail. And men really need to consider if hookup culture is a healthy idea.

Hookup culture is absolutely a terrible idea especially for these ultra rich athletes. I get it but I mean you either have to vet these women much harder OR just find a good girl rather than racking up kills.

That video has been out for months and months now which clearly illustrated her motives. It was widely known that the fractured skull was completely false and that the Athletic had access to the medical records BEFORE the story ran but again nobody took the time to read or actually try and understand for themselves. They just took Jon Heyman, The Athletic, Molly Knight and the rest of the hacks at their word

At least the court of public opinion is being served and these losers are being exposed for the partisan parasites they are

Not at all, I am just providing balance against all the incels on here painting Bauer as a victim and the woman as the perpetrator. The reality, as Terminator expressed it, is very gray.

Who else is the perpetrator if not the woman in this instance?

Is the 12 year old girl the perpetrator in the Wander Franco case too?

I wonder why Bauer agreed to dismiss his lawsuit if the evidence was so overwhelming in his favour as it appears to be. Should have been a a slam dunk win. Maybe just to get it over with and stop paying lawyers I guess?

Not like she could ever pay him the amount of money she’s responsible for costing him anyways

Also, be better.

Yeah, the latter is what I was referring to. I’m sure TB’s first preference is to play again and not be a a story, so a lawsuit would be a terrible idea until it’s clear he’s being Bonds’d

Get that franchise out of there, and i don't mean back to Montreal because they wouldn't support the team either. Put a team in Nashville already Manfred.

And their solution is to build a new stadium in the same location. What a joke.

Interviewing Torey Lovullo right now on how the dbacks ruffed up Burnes a bit - couple of dingers in the 3rd.....interesting to hear the game plan against Burnes - he didn't give anything away but you can tell the batters were prepared

So Molly Knight is just going to pretend nothing happened, and not issue an apology to Bauer? There's a big group of emotional, reactionary, and reckless baseball bloggers that owe him a public apology.

It’s almost the entire industry that owes him an apology

They won’t though

I would guarantee you Montreal would support a team that won at the rate Rays do. Expos never made the playoffs outside a weird 81 split season.

Rays drew 1.4 million for a 99 win team coming off of 4 straight playoff appearances.

In 1996, the last decent team in Montreal they drew 1.6 million for an 88 win team, coming off a losing season, a great season cancelled because of a strike and losing their best 2 or 3 players after the strike.

In 2003 Montreal (with 15 games in Puerto Rico) drew 1 million for an 83 win team that flirted a bit with contention, lost out to the Florida Marlins (who their corrupt former owner got in a corrupt deal), and who it had already been decided was moving.

I think Montreal would do fine with a 95 a year win team that made the playoffs 5 years straight.

Ok what the hell is this? The girl in question gives a tell-all interview with Alex Stein 99? lol wat

I've tried to hold back on saying anything about this whole situation from the beginning, because if I do I will go off to the point where I'll probably be kicked off this board.

They’ll have top 20 attendance for the first year and it will fall back to bottom 5 after that. Building a new stadium anywhere in Florida is a mistake.

Kinda answered your own question. Bauer received everything he needed to clear his name, her defense team completely cucked and conceded, and part of the settlement was that he could openly discuss the case. What's the benefit to him continuing? More legal fees and then try to get water from a stone?

Why would Alex Stein entertain this loser?

Are you lying or just stupid? The guy became untouchable. He had to move to Korea. I'm sure he lost lots of friends and maybe even family over this. The mob came after him relentlessly every day.

Remember when that pornstar killed herself because she refused to have sex with a gay guy? Oh yeah, the only victimization there was the missed paycheck from that shoot.

f***ing moron.

Hahahahaha... Gold Jerry... Gold!!!

Hey f***tard, you know about the neutral arbitrator that reviewed all the evidence and determined MLB's lengthy suspension was justified? Are you saying that experienced and highly qualified person, selected / agreed upon by both MLB and Bauer to review the facts of the matter, is wrong? Based on what, your own biased opinion? You are well known as a woman hater on here.

Unlike you, I'm not swayed from the arbitrator's decision by a crafted, factually incomplete narrative by Bauer designed to rehabilitate his image.

I think this is just such a key point in this whole debacle. MLBPA had a representative sitting on this arbitration panel so it's not like Rob Manfred has the unilateral power to run roughshod and suspend Bauer indefinitely on his own. But at the same time Bauer has largely made his own bed here. Even though he was fully in the right, embarking upon a quest to expose spin rate doctoring squarely placed in the sights of Rob Manfred as Bauer was all over Manfred's case about how MLB was ignoring the rapidly escalating spin rate cheating scandal. The dude has a bit of dark history online in social media as he set him army of twitter trolls after a college girl after she dared to mention online about how she didn't like Trevor him. Then there have various other on and off the field instances of bad behavior so this is far from a guy with a sterling reputation to start with, even before these allegations came out.

Whether or not the initial accusations were fabricated there still remained several other alleged victims who came forward to testify against Bauer in the arbitration hearing. I simply have to think if none of these allegations were credible that Bauer would have had his suspension completely quashed rather than simply being reduced, but only to a point that it remained the single largest ever domestic violence related suspension.
