connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Texas vs Baltimore would be a great series to watch Yeah, both are exiting teams and good stories. I’d go Texas out of AL East loyalty I guess.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Yeah, in a vacuum I’d rather face Texas. But then where would all the conversation be around gut feelings, momentum and the unquantifiable be? Yeah true. I'm just happy the Jays are in haha. Let's hope they could win Game 1 in Minny and build some confidence from that!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Braves/Blue Jays World Series would be awesome!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Author Posted October 1, 2023 Yeah true. I'm just happy the Jays are in haha. Let's hope they could win Game 1 in Minny and build some confidence from that! Im still trying to decide who I want pitching game 2…
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Waiting for MLB to announce the times now…. Hopefully by tonight
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Brewers/Orioles or Twins World Series would be fun also. But want the Jays to take care of business obviously against both of those teams. I don't want to see the Marlins in the World Series haha. I mean I like them but meh, would rather see Braves or Dodgers or Brewers represent the NL.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Braves/Blue Jays World Series would be awesome! Best possible WS if you ask me
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Marlins don’t have the bats to be a fun watch
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Jays/Twins given the 4:38PM game on Tuesday.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 MLB schedule showing the Marlins/Mets playing tomorrow - WTF? They're making the Marlins finish that suspended game? LOL.
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Jays/Twins given the 4:38PM game on Tuesday. Not a bad time at all!
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Jays/Twins given the 4:38PM game on Tuesday. The central time zone helped us out.
BlueJays Verified Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Odd timeslots this year Yeah, but infinitely better than a 12 or 2 pm game.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 MLB schedule showing the Marlins/Mets playing tomorrow - WTF? They're making the Marlins finish that suspended game? LOL. I think only if it mattered
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Am I misremembering when I was younger they would just call the game if it was after 5 innings?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Am I misremembering when I was younger they would just call the game if it was after 5 innings? You’re correct, I think it changed in the new CBA
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 MLB schedule showing the Marlins/Mets playing tomorrow - WTF? They're making the Marlins finish that suspended game? LOL. Mets players must be pissed...do they play just the final inning?
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Mets players must be pissed...do they play just the final inning? nvm, I see it now. They just play the bottom of the ninth so the Mets can bat. Wow..
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 So they actually are continuing the game? LMAO
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Now sure who I’d want between Philly and MIL. Burnes/Woodruff pretty brutal
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Atlanta would play Philly or Miami in the DS. Would be a fun DS if it's the Braves/Phillies. LA would play Arizona or Milwaukee. I think either series would be good.

I think either series would be good. I think they’re making Miami play to decide seeding? Or is it set?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 I thought I read the other day they were only going to finish it if it mattered for seeding
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 I thought I read the other day they were only going to finish it if it mattered for seeding Yeah if the seeding is set, which it looks like it is, they are just taking the loss
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Yeah if the seeding is set, which it looks like it is, they are just taking the loss Ah. Ok that would make sense that they just concede the game. I thought they were playing it per the post here
Masterbather Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Yeah if the seeding is set, which it looks like it is, they are just taking the loss Are you sure? I would assume they just end up with 161 games played a piece.

I think either series would be good. I think Brewers Dodgers would be one of the best possible series in the playoffs. Very evenly matched in my opinion.
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 (edited) MLB.com still has Mia/NYM on the schedule for tomorrow. edit. Miami page says it's cancelled. Edited October 2, 2023 by WryNGinger
