Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Not this year no. Cincinatti, Baltimore and Pittsburgh are still coming up this season though to add to atlanta, texas and seattle's unveilings. 20 teams so far in total (including those ones) have the city connect stuff out. I'm confused why all teams wouldn't be unveiling a jersey. From what I seen for the Jays it just has TBA.

Yeah the original announcment back in 2021 said all 30 teams would be expceted to have a City Connect jersey by the end of 2023. Not sure why there is such a staggered roll out or why certain teams went first
Virgil_Hiltz Verified Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Padres have been huge underachievers and playing like s***. Dodgers have been mediocre. They're not the same powerhouse in the NL West as they were in previous seasons. Dbacks are my pick to win the division. I'm happy to see the Pirates off to a good start, though doubt it lasts. Cardinals need to turn it around before they dig themselves too far of a hole. The Brewers and Cubs in the NL Central are for real IMO. Fun to see the AL West competitive between four teams. Hope the Angels and Rangers can remain in it all season. AL Central sucks. White Sox, Tigers, and Royals will be easy teams to beat up on. AL East is a powerhouse. I don't think Boston finishes above .500, but would be something if all 5 teams finished above .500. If they did it probably be with a huge failure rate vs AL East teams. Love the balance schedule!
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Jesus that is ugly. Might not be so bad if the pants were down and not those socks.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Oakland with a -113 run differential geez. I've been betting teams against them run line, and have been pretty successful most of the time haha.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 I love these. Especially that hat logo. One of the best logos in MLB along with the Brewers alt

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Only issue for me is the pants like both the jersey and the hat.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Lol I think that's a dirty move. I get that you shouldn't trust an opponent and he should have confirmed with the umpire or his own coach, but that guy is an *******. Show some sportsmanship and have some morals. It's a regular season game in April.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 The lettering is based on the Seattle Pilots' font: http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2379/8161/products/seattlepilotsbluejersey_800x.png?v=1664236547 It even looks funny on that jersey. Ball Four by Jim Bouton is one of my favourite books, but I haven't seen much of the jersey. The Vancouver Canadians play in Sicks Stadium where the Pilots played. It was moved to Vancouver after they left and renamed Nat Bailey Stadium.

It's a regular season game in April. I completely disagree. You have no reason to leave that base until you know you have to. You check with the umpire before you leave. I was taught that in little league. Its all fair game with your opponent.

It's a regular season game in April. I have no problem with this. No different than a catcher trying to get under the skin of a batter. Don't trust anything your opponent says or does

Probably get a fastball in the ribs for that back in the day.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Its unsportsmanlike. Probably get a fastball in the ribs for that back in the day. Its gamesmanship. An out is an out. You’re not trying to help out the other team. You can be nice and friendly when the game is over. Someone really deserves to be drilled in the ribs because you asked the other team what happened lol.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 It's bush league. If you have a stupid opponent, you capitalize on that any way you can. "Fair" is for losers.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 It's bush league. Its really not its competitors competing. You want to win you will take any advantage you can get. My advice to the base runner develop a better game sense. You got umpires and coaches, and an entire dugout of teammates to help you out. The opposing team isn’t your friend. Don’t expect them to do you any favors.

Yeah he’s downright nasty at times. Pop seems like he’s found some swing and miss. Yimi has looked pretty decent despite the s*** people give him. And Pearson could be a weapon if he finds his command.

The pen faced the minimum 12 batters in their 4 innings with 8 strikeouts. Dominant.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Second time in three starts he's pulled early. It's always something. I don't think he's capable of starting games over a full season.
