Teoscar posted a wRC+ of 145 in 2020, 132 in 2021 and 129 in 2022. I'd argue his production is actually fairly reliable. It's just we have more people to extend than we have dollars available. I wouldn't be against an extension if we got some sort of discount. Time will tell as to how that goes.

 

I'm also glad to see Pearson pitching in the DWL. I know everyone has left him for dead. Hard to argue with that, but if he could somehow be a redemption story next year that would be huge for the club. We could really use something out the guy.

 

I think the ship has sailed on Pearson as a starter though. At this point, just get him out of then pen and let him throw as many bullets as he can before he hits the DL with some rare form of African sleeping sickness or some s***

I'd be plenty happy if he could just be an impact reliever throwing 100 with big movement on his slider!

Instead of Choi just get Spencer Howard. He is in Buffalo with the Bisons. Can come to Toronto for free.

Maybe he has the inside scoop on the bust pitching prospect from the Phillies/Rangers and knows a transition to position player is imminent. Unfortunately he's also a righty hitter, but maybe switching to LHH's batter box is what will save his grim MLB career.
