BuffaloWings Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 What an absolute joke from a soft team.
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Hahahahahaha not even shocked. Overhaul this f***ing trash pen already.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Yeeeeehawwwwww Time to bring up some different pitchers. Pearson and Hernandez
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 now this is what you call a statement game lmao Jays desperately need some bullpen help.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Toronto Blue Jays last 14 innings... WOOF!!!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 If Charlie started Tapia we'd be winning 7-6 right now. Maybe he can pitch tonight.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Only a matter of time before thornton turned back into a s*** baller But he was great against KC, Detroit and Baltimore....oh, wait.
keggy Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Maybe he can pitch tonight. The Rocket would've brought that grand slam back.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Damn second straight blowout loss. This one got out of hand in a hurry.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Yeeeeehawwwwww Time to bring up some different pitchers. Pearson and Hernandez This game you may get your wish.. if you meant Teo H. Lol
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 This bullpen is f***ing embarrassing. They just get their s*** kicked in on a nightly basis. It's crazy how they didn't completely overhaul the bullpen after the shitshow last year.
BuffaloWings Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Cant wait until this inning is over. Really missing watching hitters ground out to 3rd and Short need a reminder.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 The back of the pen guys the Yankees will use tonight to finish this game will be comparable to our top guys. Outside of Cimber, Mayza, and Romero (although less recently) I’m usually nervous as f*** in a close game.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Let Lawrence pitch out most of this game and re-group for the weekend.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Bahahahahahaha. This is friggin hilarious.
keggy Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 On a more serious note, the Yankees are absolutely sitting on our breaking balls. Somebody needs to confiscate Aaron Boone's apple watch.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 This drove me mental last year. I thought we should have been making more bullpen moves than we did and I thought they should have been done earlier. This year it’s not nearly as bad so I wouldn’t expect any moves. It is a little disappointing that we don’t seem able to develop our own flamethrowers though. Our pitching development has been getting better but we are still behind the best teams. We don’t seem to be able to just manufacture enough of our own pitching, we don’t trade real assets for relief and we don’t spend a lot in free agency. Hence we have a mediocre pen.
BuffaloWings Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Damn second straight blowout loss. This one got out of hand in a hurry. Cant hit when the pitching is good. Cant pitch when the hitting is good. Manager sets the tone for the team, soft.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Hits and runs, big comeback here
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Its time for Shatkins philosophy on the pen to change. Sure its nice to have cool stories like David Phelps. But you need guys who throw hard and miss bats late in games. Good hitters just make you pay in clutch situations.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Rays lost so not all bad. Silver linings, thank you Baltimore.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 And yet out manager cant wait to go to our bullpen every game. f***ing douche game plans from our entire management. You want to manage like the Rays... get the same f***ing arms like them then. This is precisely what drives me so crazy. If you're going to be obsessed with the analytics, you better have suitable talent to work with or else the logic goes out the window.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Let Lawrence pitch out most of this game and re-group for the weekend. Yep, have to flush it and move on.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Hits and runs, big comeback here It it happens I’ll drive up to Canada to blow one of Spanky’s goats
BuffaloWings Verified Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Woohoo theres the groundout to 3rd we are use to seeing!
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2022 Author Posted June 18, 2022 Pathetic talent gap on display Montgomery is their #5 basically and he is so legit Toronto's middle relievers are useless against good hitters
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Yeah, it's a depth issue. We have a depth issue at starting pitching too. I sacrifice a live chicken to ensure Manoah's, Gausman's and Berrios' health before every start. We have a bit of work to do at the trade deadline. Pearson definitely has the ability to help potentially both the bullpen and the rotation if one of the guys go down, but we need to make a couple trades. I'd try and get Robertson early because Chicago has no hope of the playoffs and how much could old man Robertson cost?
