I'll say this with the caveat Vlad frustrates me to no end. I think the overall issue with the guy is people continue to think he is someone he's not. All of us should probably stop waiting for him to be the next Miguel Cabrera and accept he is more likely Paul Konerko or Jason Giambi.

Jays win % this year is exactly where it was when Montoyo was fired last season. With how bad both the pitching and the offense has been this year both the Coach and the GM's jobs should be on the line. In particular, with Jansen, Kirk, and Varsho all slumping at the plate the Moreno trade looks terrible.

Besides being friends with Bo and Vlad, what keeps the guy on the team? He is a 28 year old contact hitter who cant make contact.

You nailed it. Teams take on the personality of their manager, and sadly the Blue Jays are soft. They play the role of the awe shucks underdogs well, and that would have been great two years ago. However, its time in their development where they should be world eaters. No one is scared to play a bunch of goofballs.

Thank God training camp for the Bills starts at the end of this month. The Jays will likely make the playoffs but a lot of this feels like a repeat of last year.
