I think he'll get it figured out, but so far it's ugly.

 

He's only made 5 innings once in 4 starts. Wearing out the bullpen and forcing the Jays to use their weaker relievers too often.

All said and done, if he stays healthy and thats a big if, he will become an important leverage piece. He is lacking a bit of command on his FB and off speed stuff grooving his FB too much center cut. Its hard but doesn't have much movement. If he finds a little more touch, he is going to start to dominate again for us.

I think it's high time to move Bichette down in the order, there are far too many scoring opportunities that are flushed down the toilet due to his inability to even get the bat on the ball in big situations. Espinal has recently been rewarded for the quality of contact he's been producing and sees the most pitches on the team. He would receive a ton of fastballs in front of Vladdy and he's been battering those to the tune of a .386 xWOBA so he would be my choice to move up in the order.
