Jays2champs Verified Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Chapman bomb and Tilapia keeping it up. Nice!
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Tapia is getting the bloops tonight to make up for all the hard hit balls that have found gloves lately.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Honestly Heinemen looked good with the bat tonight…
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Honestly Heinemen looked good with the bat tonight… ya he was doing well.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Oh s***, the broadcast team is normalizing Dexter Fowler with the fan base. The SportsNet comment section about to start demanding that a guy who hasn't had even a remotely good season in 5 years come up and save the team. He was decent in his last full season in '19... you never know, mate.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Honestly Heinemen looked good with the bat tonight… Yeah, couldn't realistically expect anything more than he provided tonight.
Jays2champs Verified Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 With decent pitching we had this game. It's still not over but it would be nice.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 He was decent in his last full season in '19... you never know, mate. 103 wRC+ and 0.6 WAR in his age 33 season doesn't inspire any confidence in me that he'll have a good season at 36...
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 With decent pitching we had this game. It's still not over but it would be nice. Yeah, Richards exploded out of nowhere. That's the worst outing from him that I can recall since he's been with the team.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 The Collins experiment will soon be coming to a close.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Arden Zwelling gives me the creeps.
Jays2champs Verified Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Yeah, Richards exploded out of nowhere. That's the worst outing from him that I can recall since he's been with the team. 100%. Saucedo might've done better lol. That says a lot. If Phelps gets us out without any damage I like our chances though honestly.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 He hit that above the Delgado sign on the Level of Excellence. Facing of the 5th deck.

If he manages to do ANYTHING productive, I think we've got a shot. If he just gives away another out swinging at pitches at his neck, I'm far less confident.

Man I can't wait for Teo to come back. We need him soon.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Why exactly did we trade Grichuk for this guy again? Just because he's a lefty? lol
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Tough one to judge... could have lost it in the lights?

The SportsNet comment section about to start demanding that a guy who hasn't had even a remotely good season in 5 years come up and save the team. I noticed that too. I just don't see room for the guy unless we get some more injuries but even then you have to wonder if Otto Lopez or Samad Taylor or others are better options.

At least Bradley Zimmer can play an excellent CF. I'd take several guys from the minor league system over the mouldering corpse of Dexer Fowler.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Bichette hit an Atom ball, good contact.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 I mean as a bench piece, lol. Not a positional replacement. Lukes or Taylor would be superior options if for some reason we needed yet another 5th OF... Lukes and Taylor can both theoretically cover CF, Fowler can't anymore.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Vasquez is fooling this ump but good. That is a big curve though.
