I enjoyed that game immensely. The bats will come around. Boston played hard tonight. They worked some good at bats and their pitching was good. Good win.

Manoah is a bit of an oddity in today's game.

 

Sitting 92-93 in the first inning and now he's pumping in 96 after 96. Most guys seem max effort all the time; pretty consistent velocity.

 

Yeah, the dude seems pretty outspoken about not caring about velocity rather caring about movement. The guy hit triple digits in Low A, so he's got a ton in the tank if he needs it, he just doesn't care to use it unless he really wants to blow someone away.
