It's Morosi guys - it's not even worth discussing what he says.

Morosi is actually a f***ing genius. He knows where all his clicks are coming from. He literally makes a killing from baiting Blue Jays fans. The man also taught himself Spanish for seemingly no reason to impress latin players in interview and earn ultimate brownie parts not requiring a translator. He’s from Michigian. There’s no f***ing latinos there.

Dude is playing Chess while everyone else is playing Checkers

I don't mind Morosi's scuttlebutt, he breaks big news all the time, like the Robert Suarez extension yesterday. Seems like a good guy, I don't get the vitriol he receives.

Because when he throws sooooooo much s*** at the wall, something is bound to stick once in a while.

You'd need an immediate source to break that story, though?

I like Lukes but the time to roster him would have been last year. Dude turns 29 next summer.

He's AAA injury depth, might make the roster as a 5th OF. Same as Capra in the infield.

Lol they really hate Manoah eh.

Kikuchi lower ERA than Manoah is a huge ask

I know, but there is no way their projections are correct, With Kikuchi and Corbin and Manoah on the other end. I dont believe it. Hopefully there are teams out there that use these projections and contact us about Kikuchi. lol

Click the Houston GM isnt coming back. I would love to see us add him to the brain trust on a one year deal while he figures out where he wants to be. Pay him a ton for one year.

I don't expect Manoah to have another season with an ERA in the low 2's or under 3 for that matter. His ERA is likely more between 3.50-4 next season. 4.11 ERA isn't that crazy of a projection.

I expect Berrios to cut down his ERA and return to the high 3's/low 4's.

Dodgers pitchers aren't really anything special. They don't have a true elite SP other than Urias and even still he's outperformed his ERA thus far. May is likely their best arm next season.

I would buy low on Corbin.

Projection systems can be pretty bad around the “edges”.

I would not value the Kikuchi, Corbin, etc. projections much at all

They are being regressed too far to the mean

The way the relief market is shaping up, it looks to me that most of the value is in starting pitching, especially on the back end.

With that in mind, Jansen really lines up as someone you could trade for a couple of relievers with great stuff, or one good starter prospect who is close, and one reliever with great stuff.

If the Jays trade one of their catchers for a couple of relievers I might s*** a brick.

Judging by the moves so far, anything approaching a back end reliever is going to be super expensive. Also, we have a roster construction problem where almost none of our relievers have options.

If we can two cost controlled swing and miss relievers; or one swing and miss reliever and one back end starter (similar to the adames trade) both with options and multiple years of control.. that would kill a few birds with one stone.

That at least could be the foundation of a deal for Jansen.

It could also save money, giving us two pre arb guys. Then we could go closer to the top of the market elsewhere.

I feel like a Bednar + Reynolds trade involving Moreno + would be ideal.

I think I’d rather keep Moreno but that does sound interesting.

I don’t see why Pittsburgh would even looking at moving them. While they will get progressively more expensive the next few years, they have plenty of room to keep both and still be in the 100 million salary range as a team, which they were at not too long ago.

The way the relief market is shaping up you're better off buying a #4 starter and making them a relief pitcher. Andrew Heaney for closer anyone?

Poor Ross Stripling finally managed to semi-breakout as a starter and turns out in this market he'd make more money as a good reliever.

Pittsburgh has their own young stud prospect behind the plate in Henry Davis. Their #1 prospect in fact.

Yup, these numbers are easy to move in consideration of their value it seems, through Spotrac and their projected stats, I believe.

Well, he has a number from the Dot. If he moves on, we weren't that interested.

I actually agree. Load up on back end starters if the reliever market is crazy and trade for that instead, now or at the deadline. Convert guys in the minors to relievers who project as back end guys, and use our best prospects that have a chance to arrive next year in the pen.
