Damnnn. I really want Albert to get 700. 30 games to hit 5 homers… hope he has it in him

He'll get to 700. Cards will give him every opportunity and he still has 30 games to do so!

Braves are sure making the NL East interesting

Mets looking fallable especially if Scherzer isn't 100%

Braves will surpass the Mets IMO and are the better team all around.

So you are all finally admitting that AA is a great GM?

I always thought he was? Just couldn't believe some of those stories concerning analytics, he went to LA and woke up on that side of his job.

He is now, wasn't before.

What kind of f***ery is Thor and d'Arnaud for Dickey

Nah, he was good before, excellent negotiator, strong drafts, massive deals with huge balls at play, what kind of "f***ery" was that JD trade?

He's just moved into elite as he's cleaned up his view on advanced metrics.

I didn't say he wasn't good before.

Read what Dinger wrote and my response.

You care about losing Thor? Thor hasn’t been that great. AA shed the Wells contract, signed several insanely team-friendly extensions, drafted incredibly well, stole Donaldson, and signed Vladdy. No prospect traded in the Marlins trade ended up being anything, either.

As I said, he is great now, wasn't before. He was average'ish as a GM for Toronto. Went all in, failed, but good effort.

Braves, Mets, Cards, LA - the NL playoffs are going to be incredible this year.

In the AL, will be interesting to see how the M's do. Heck of a team.

Would be cool to see STL come out of the NL. They're such a fun team right now.

Yeah the Cards have really grown on my over the years. What a solid organization. Cards, Mets, Braves - I'm good with any of them making the WS. I'm kind of over LA now. Normally I wouldn't want to see Atlanta return to the finals, but they are too much fun now and have new guys doing it this year (Acuna, Olson, Grissom, Harris, Strider, etc.).

Agreed that the NL side of the playoffs should be really good, especially if the top 4 all end up in the DS (Dodgers, Mets, Braves, Cardinals). If Tatis wasn't suspended, then the Padres would have been fun to watch as well, but them and the Phillies seem too flawed to compete with the top 4, although anything can happen in a 3 game series.

The AL side seems a lot less exciting, especially with the Central winner getting to host a WC series despite being s***. Hopefully the 4 teams that make up the AL side in the DS are Houston, New York, Toronto, and Seattle. F the Rays and AL Central.

I just don't understand how MLB can have Teams with days off on the Labor day weekend... Their business model/scheduling baffles me... Worst out of all 5/6 major sports in the U.S.

Phew. Hendriks gets the save. M's lose

I don’t know if we don’t catch the yanks I think I would rather the 3rd wild card spot easier path

No way, top WC gets you 3 at home.

3 games at home against TB or Seattle or 3 games on the road against the Guardians. I get it would be awesome having ball back in Toronto I just know which would be much easier

Cleveland can pitch. McClanahan might be hurt for the playoffs. I think I’d prefer the home games

Claiming X team is easier to beat is DUMN especially considering we just got swept by the Angels at home last week.
