L54 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Are the Rockies the worst org in the MLB? I’d say yes
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Why in the world did the Rockies trade Arenado for horse s*** only to turn around and spend on vastly inferior talent instead? Why not just keep Arenado, try to re-sign Story, and go from there? What an awful organization.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Are the Rockies the worst org in the MLB? I’d say yes I want to say the Angels or the Mariners, but you could make a compelling case for the Rockies.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 I want to say the Angels or the Mariners, but you could make a compelling case for the Rockies. How are the Mariner’s so awful?
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Lmao wat WTF. They're a last place team and he's a mediocre 37-year old reliever. How do you now just take the best offer you can get for him before the deadline?

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 How are the Mariner’s so awful? The Mariners aren't close to the worst-run team right now: Rockies, Angels, Reds, Cubs, White Sox, Nationals, D'Backs, Athletics, and Royals are all clearly worse IMO. And you can make a case for at least the Red Sox, Rangers, Twins, Padres, Pirates. Current Mariners are a middle-of-the road org. Maybe a bit above average.

Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Judge hit 42, holy moly. He's hitting 1-2 every f***ing game at this point.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 How are the Mariner’s so awful? They have missed the playoffs for 20 consecutive seasons and are perhaps the worst run organisation in the history of baseball. They are average at this very moment if that is the only criteria, but I was looking at a combination of both. Others appear to have looked at it differently.

They seem to have drafted and traded pretty well in the past number of years. They have a very solid core of pitchers and depth. I don't think the current Team reflects the past 20 years..

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Anytime you get the chance to lock up an oft-injured 37 year old reliever with a career 4.00 ERA you gotta do it.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Valdez pooping against the M's, at least it's the first inning.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 It warms my cold heart to see Boston in last place, 2 full games behind Baltimore going into the trade deadline

Laika Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Are the Rockies the worst org in the MLB? I’d say yes Have to be at least tied for that award if the question is "which MLB org is the least competent right now?" Angels being 42-58 with their payroll required woeful incompetence. Several other sad/sorry organizations but the Rockies and Angels seem the least competent. Like if you gave CIN or PIT a bit more payroll, they probably don't look so pathetic.

Paying to get rid of the best third baseman in baseball then giving big $ to Bryant right after. 2. Being unable to manage even a 500 season while having the best player in the world and the best two way player in history (the latter of which you pay very little money to) Edited July 31, 2022 by G-Snarls
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Are the Rockies the worst org in the MLB? I’d say yes It's a shame. Coors Field is an awesome ballpark and one of my favourites!

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 This tweet from yesterday makes me think it couldnt happen to a better team. Spanky told me that they had a better pitching staff than ours during this month. I wonder if he still feels the same way.

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Anyone else find it takes like 20 seconds for a post to finish, and then it shows up twice?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Anyone else find it takes like 20 seconds for a post to finish, and then it shows up twice? Yup. I usually hit post and then refresh right away and it posts once

Not since that series against the Yankees and Toronto. They did have a better staff statistically than us at the time of my post... meh.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Not since that series against the Yankees and Toronto. They did have a better staff statistically than us at the time of my post... meh. There was very little talent, a lot of luck, and a depleted bullpen on that team. I was looking more at talent and sustainability. You know a guy like Berrios wasn't going to stay down.
