connorp Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 A big lefty bat somewhere between Springer/Bichette/Vladdy sure sounds good no matter who it is Freeman or bust now that Carlos B dropped that s***.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 If Vladdy can be passable at 3B I would love to see both Freeman and Schwarber signed. Added bonus is that the Jays wouldn't be dumping futures to try to add Ramirez via trade. Talk about being asset rich.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Wrong. It means he has integrity. Lol wow we've been thinking about this wrong all this time. Ugly wives are the new market inefficiency.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Kris Bryant has an ugly wife. He lacks confidence. Pass. I personally wouldn’t say she’s ugly, but he could definitely do way better lol
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 I just looked at the Steamer projection leaderboards to rosterbate over Freeman and Vladdy hitting B2B (they're 2nd and 12th by projected wRC+ btw), and I noticed that Seiya Suzuki is projected for a 140 wRC+. That has to be a mistake, right?
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Do we think teams might target players who get 'hurt' by the shift now in anticipation that they'll be 'worth more' if/when the shift restrictions are implemented? Could Schwarber be one of those players?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 He could have got himself traded to a good team years ago and he didn't want to be traded
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 He could have got himself traded to a good team years ago and he didn't want to be traded Sounds like he saying he’s never asked and will never ask to have his no trade waived, but wouldn’t necessarily say no if they asked him to waive it again?
jerb Verified Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Robert Murray @ByRobertMurray Source: Free-agent pitcher Connor Greene is signing with the Baltimore Orioles. Non-roster invite. Greene, 26, spent time with the Orioles and Dodgers last season.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 I personally wouldn’t say she’s ugly, but he could definitely do way better lol She may have Shrek’s body but not his face? I guess you can give her that

It's just that if they never even tried to trade him that's pretty dumn
jerb Verified Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 RobBiertempfel @RobBiertempfel Per source, Pirates signed Daniel Vogelbach for $1M plus second-year option for $1.5 M and $400K incentives. The $1M this year breaks down as $800K plus $200K buyout of his option.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 That's not a bad signing for a cash-strapped NL team in search of a DH.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 I hate how quiet it is with all the big money still left out there.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 I hate how quiet it is with all the big money still left out there. Yeah, those players still unsigned are missing out on ST reps, but I guess when your decision is hinging on multiple hundreds of millions of dollars, missing the early part of ST isnt really on their mind.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Wow the Jays should have been all over that Colin McHugh signing. The Braves got him for the same price the Jays signed Yimi Garcia for... *Correction: McHugh came $1M cheaper than Garcia, lol.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Yeah, McHugh is a great signing. Less AAV than Brad Hand!
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 f***. McHugh would have been a nice addition. Maybe they reached out and he wasn't interested or maybe he's unvaxxed or something.
jerb Verified Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal Source confirms: Anthony Rizzo in agreement with Yankees on two-year, $32M contract. First with agreement: @JesseRogersESPN Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal Deal includes opt out after first year.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Does that close the door on Freeman for the Yanks?
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Does that close the door on Freeman for the Yanks? I would certainly tend to think so, there's no way they would be paying this kind of coin to Rizzo only to have one of him or Freeman DH'ing a good chunk of the time. Stanton will likely be receiving the bulk of those at bats already.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 There are certain things we don't appreciate in life or that we take for granted. Like the Blue Jays having a clear need at 3B but letting Eugenio Suarez go to the Mariners to spare us from having to hear Buck pronounce "ay-you-hen-yo" 12,000 times in 2022.
jerb Verified Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Jim Salisbury @JSalisburyNBCS Phillies have an agreement with Kyle Schwarber, pending all the usual stuff
jerb Verified Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Jayson Stark @jaysonst #Phillies deal with Kyle Schwarber, pending physical, is a 4-year agreement with an AAV just under $20 million per year, sources tell The Athletic. @JSalisburyNBCS was on this
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 I don't think 4/80 for Schwarber would have made sense for the Jays. His bat would have been great in this lineup, but that's a big price for a DH. I'm curious if the Jays pivot to Conforto now or try to find a non-QO'd option.
