Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Round 2 with Kirby Yates maybe if he's healthy? He already signed elsewhere and is on the 60 Day DL I think lol
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Round 2 with Kirby Yates maybe if he's healthy? Hell no
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Keith Law wanted the Jays to just dump McGuire and promote Samad Taylor to protect him from the Rule 5. There's no Rule 5 this year but I think it highlights how little McGuire is worth. I'm sure the Jays are shopping him. Without a taker they might as well keep him to make sure Jansen and Kirk get through spring without injury but once the season starts they might have to just dump him. Just take the risk on the 50 or 60 games Kirk is the DH?
FantasyNewb Verified Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 We need to add one impact reliever. We have pretty much kept the same pen from last year. Ideally, I'd like Romano as the 8th inning guy with a shut down closer. Roberto Osuna has been hitting triple digits.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Okay, this is just too cool not to share !!!! forgive me if its somewhere else, but to set this clip up Here is Nate Pearson's private pitching coach Anthony Telford discussing the work he put in with Toronto Blue Jays pitchers Nate Pearson, Jordan Romano and Ryan Borucki this offseason. Danny Jansen was there to catch all 3 guys. Hopefully this private pitching coach isn't just blowing smoke up his own ass and Borucki turns out to be as locked in as he claims.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Round 2 with Kirby Yates maybe if he's healthy? Atlanta already signed him to a 2 year deal
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 I live in Montana so just vacation. I went to those first 2 games in Seattle last year. Hah... okay! We know who to blame.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Roberto Osuna has been hitting triple digits. Problem is that's not the only thing he hits.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Problem is that's not the only thing he hits. I was going to make a joke but erased what I had typed out since I actually like Osuna lol.

Yes, I agree he sounds like he toots his own horn quite a bit, but I hope hes right because there is alot of talent in Borucki

Ya. Everything is all sunshine and blowjobs until the curtain raises and it counts. Love his enthusiasm though.
wamco Verified Member Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 26 man roster and the DH spot allows you to carry all 3 without much trouble if you want to 5 SP (Berrios, Manoah, Gausman, Ryu, Kikuchi) 9 RP 3 catchers (Jansen, Kirk, McGuire) 4 outfielders (Teo, Gurriel, Springer, Grichuk) 5 infielders (Vladdy, Bo, Chapman, Biggio, Espinal) You still have room for a 9 man bullpen or an 8 man pen and a 5th OF/DH if you get an extra left hand bat *13 pitcher limit *
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Who else has been rocking a Shatkins boner all day?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Jamie Campbell has leukemia. I hope he has a quick recovery. They guy is a true blue Jays fan and actually pretty good in his role.

Agreed, he seems like the guy that claims he fixed this and he fixed that, and if it doesnt work out, its because he went away from MY plan or Walker changed this.
lovemyjays Verified Member Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Would Rays trade Meadows to a division rival? Meadows would be a great get! Grichuk + ?

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Sorry but no trade for Meadows starts with Grichuk Gotta love people being like “lets trade Grichuk because he sucks” and then trying to act like he has any trade value
Ray Verified Member Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Grichuk as a 4th OF is the type of depth that elite teams have. Let’s maybe leave the only person capable of playing CF in case of a Springer injury alone. It’s also clear that the industry places zero value on him considering he was almost traded for Jackie Bradley Jr, so he may be more valuable to us as 4th OF than trading him and eating most of that contract. I don’t even like Grichuk that much, but the hateboner for him on here is kind of ridiculous.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Sorry but no trade for Meadows starts with Grichuk Especially when you consider Grichuk would take up like 20% of their overall payroll lol.

jerb Verified Member Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Mike Wilner @Wilnerness Don’t expect to see a lot of George Springer during #Bluejays Grapefruit season. He said that while spring training is important, his goal is to be ready to go April 8th. He’s going to take as many live at-bats as possible here at the complex. Seems he’ll only play occasionally.
