And a manager that should've been banned for life from MLB

Funny how these same hitters couldn't hit last year

Tip your cap... LOL

Boston had an above average offense last year. There were like two players who had down seasons. JDM sucked and Devers wasn't amazing.

Sox got players who execute when it counts. Jays got potential but there’s just too much inconsistency at this point. Mgmt should not mortgage the future to chase a playoff spot this year cause we’re not close.

Well I am definitely not worried that they might be thinking of mortgaging the future.

Red Sox might just be better? Offenses are similar. Jays might be better on balance because of the huge gap between talent at first base, second base, and centre, but Red Sox probably have the better player at like 6 positions and they have the better two way position players. Better pen.

The Red Sox could win 100 games and posters here will still say they suck. I get it, I hate Boston too, but they might just be a really good team. Cora is a cheater, but for him to cheat the moment he's back in the league after a one year suspension would take some balls.

Atkins really needs to do something about the pitching. The offense is great, but the pitching is a dumpster fire... Not going to cut it in the long run.

After tonight the Jays will be 5-13 against Tampa, Boston, and the Yankees at "home" and 10-8 against them on the road.

Getting out of Buffalo/Dunedin will be long overdue.

Yankees winning too, lol. What a s***** few days.

And the Rays with 2 runs in bottom of the 9th to win another 1 run game. f***ing brutal 2 days. At Least that's the last game in that s*** hole city.

Yup, Phillies tied the Yanks just now... Muahahaha

I would be completely unsurprised if the Redsox turn around and lose 90 games next year.

That’s why they’re annoying.

Even when they won the WS in 2013, they had the worst record in the division in 2012, and then again in 2014.

Won the WS in 2018 and then didn’t even make the postseason in 2019.

They’ve had extremely good luck the past 15 years or so

Blame it on the park I say. I look at Tampa and Boston and I wonder why we can't beat them - we seem to have a ton of talent but they seem better at execution and winning. Management? I don't mean just the manager but perhaps through the system, we're weaker at doing the little things. Or our pitching just sucks.

But Tampa keeps finding it over and over and it's not like they have first overall picks anymore as the excuse.

Ray is our best pitcher - losing him to free agency would be tough for next year. Can the Jays put together a real rotation and pen in the offseason? They're going to have to pay a ton of money to get it.

This team just cannot beat the damn Redsox or Rays, and its going to cost us a postseason berth

.375 against the Red Sox and Rays, .573 against everyone else.

They're just not ready to take on the big boys yet.

So the Red Sox are actually better than we want to think they are? Better than their run differential would suggest? Or they just match up well against the Jays and Yankees somehow.

Playing in that ridiculous stadium helps.

I don't believe that, Red Sox have a great offense as we do, thought we'd be swinging it with them. Still time to get back in it.

Yeah man. Fans here sounding pretty whiny. Reminding me of Yankees fans back in the day who'd cry foul after every Bautista bomb citing "the man in white in the stands!!!".

Very good offense, strong bullpen, good enough SP with Sale on the way. Not to mention an actual smart front office now (no more Dombrowski) so they'll probably make good trades at the deadline. I don't think they are falling off this season.

I mean, HE WAS LITERALLY SUSPENDED FOR CHEATING BECAUSE HE CHEATED AND HE WAS CAUGHT CHEATING.

"accused" is laughable you pissant.

If ya ain't cheating, ya ain't trying. Stop crying about it man lol

To be fair, 2020 was the goofy 60 game lock-down season, you can't read too much into that season. There wasn't even a spring training.

You guys sound like little girls

Not really a s***-hole city. Nice place to watch a game. Niagara falls nearby. Enough Tim Horton's to make it feel like you are in a civilized country.

$20.00 parking within a 5 minute walk of ballpark. Safe walk. Nice little stadium. Every seat is pretty amazing (no nosebleeds). Can get out and driving 100 km an hour on an highway in 10 minutes (as opposed to Toronto where it's an hour before you are on a highway that is moving).

Enjoyable experience.

They are better than a lot of people think. Run differential, in my opinion, is a wonky stat. It places too heavy of a emphasis on blow outs, and doesnt consider the actual record. I have read so much on this board about flukes, and being lucky. Flukes and luck aren't actual things in the everyday real world. A teams record should have heavier emphasis.

About a month ago I said that the Blue Jays are exactly what their record states they are, a slightly above average team with great power hitting, bad pitching, and sub par defense, that would flip flop with the Yankees for 3rd place the entire year unless they got better pitching. To date that hasnt changed. The Red Sox are a well coached team, with consistent hitting, good pitching and good defense. They are one of the best 5 teams in the league, and deserve a little more respect than "Hey they get lucky"

Great feedback. Luck is most times the result of work and preparation. The definition of fluke is "an unlikely occurrence" i.e, not common place, not everyday. My point is the Red Sox havent been lucky 58 times this year. They have been good.

But again, thank you for the solid three word rebuttal.

You don't get it.

Their record is 59-38 and their expected record based on run differential is 55-42. They are a good team either way but they probably have a few lucky wins.

The opposite is true for Toronto.
