C'mon McDonald's? The 5 guys next door here is good, but I've been to other franchises and it sucked balls, maybe it depends on the location.

Or depends how many tall boys you’ve had.

Exactly! I know from experience. Everything tastes more delicious after numerous beers.

At the end of a session, I agree. Kind of like Donairs. :P

Sorry, thought it was a slight, my bad.

Who is going to a chain if they want a good quality burger? Do some exploring in your own area or ask a local if you are travelling. Every city has a restaurant with better burgers than any of these chains. That's even more true for pizza.

Better yet, cook your own.

Yeah, those Mamma Poppa places are great for pizza, I had a place in Toronto at Don Mills and Eglington, so damn good, we'd go to sit in.

Mhm, I don't think the Google issues stem as far back as 2015. Feels like the wide majority of the active forum members are from the OG class of 2013 when the forum started and then a bunch of people from 2015, since that's when the team got really good and people were excited to talk about it.

But it's kind of sad how few active people we have with join dates after 2015, aside from the ones that repeatedly make new accounts. Hopefully getting more visibility on search engines will help us draw more people here.

As a relative newcomer to the Jays and baseball I read this forum pretty much every day but don't post much...guess I just want to say that this forum knocks spots off the Facebook pages or the like for quality content, and I've learned an absolute s*** ton of stuff about metrics and the finer points of the game just by paying attention to this site. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Cooking your own is still not great as most people use chain store burgers in that case. Make sure you get your ground beef at a farmers market. Better yet get the cow from someone local you know, and make sure it is grass fed. Butcher it yourself to make sure it's done right.

And don't use a chain shop barbeque, I made a fire pit. No chain shop grill either. Welded it myself and got the rocks from the local quarry.

Lazaro Estrada, RHP, Toronto Blue Jays

Level & Affiliate: Low-A Dunedin Age: 22 Org Rank: NR FV: 35 Line: 2.2 IP (relief), 3 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 4 K

Notes

I don’t know anything about Estrada except what I was able to glean from Wednesday’s data output. Estrada’s curveball averaged just shy of 3,400 rpm. If that’s what he’s capable of doing consistently, he’d be comfortably atop the major league average curveball spin rate leaderboard. I’ve never had this kind of immediate access to data before, so I’m not sure how spontaneously aggressive to be with putting someone like Estrada on a prospect list after just looking at pitch data without ever having laid eyes on him. But even though he hasn’t performed at an elite level, he’s someone who needs to be monitored because of his talent for spin.

Make a smash burger and it will change your whole opinion on what a good burger is. Medium ground beef is a must, stay away from lean. So f***ing juicy it's amazing!

Slim pickings, Chuckles said Dolis will be back on Tuesday when eligible. I believe Castro's close also.

No was 'the 6" gets an NFL team when they barely put 15,000 in the barn to watch the argonauts. If by some miracle Toronto got a weak NFL team like the Bills, they'd kill the CFL.

When do we finally get to play 10 games against Baltimore like the Red Sox and Yankees have??

Edit: in June we play Baltimore 7 times in 10 days

Dolis back is good timing

Would kill to have Springer back this week

Hopefully Ray Stripling and Matz can keep up what they've been doing

If Manoah's 3rd start tomorrow is much like the 1st two, I really think we should have him make his 4th in the majors and piggy back Stripling and Kay.

Gibby is such a f***ing gem. I miss him so much.

That is awesome - thanks for sharing. I really miss Gibby.

I think I've told this story before, but I took my son to see the Jays play the Twins in Spring Training. It was in Fort Myers and my son was only 7 at the time. We tried to get their early to get autographs, but we got stuck in traffic and were a little late. In most stadiums you can get autographs up until the national anthem, but in the Twins stadium, we got ushered back away about 10-15 minutes earlier so we missed out before the game. As soon as it was over, we rushed down and waited patiently in line to get an autograph, but the kid in front of mine was the last one to get one.

My son was devastated. I asked an usher where the visiting teams bus was. He showed us where it was, but there was no public access. We had to stand at the top of the catwalk. We watched all the Jays walk to the bus after the game, but the buses were so loud they couldn't hear us at all. We were hollering at them, but it was no use. They all boarded the bus without even looking up at us. My son was very upset, but luckily a security guard saw us up top and saw up upset my son was. He motioned for me to toss a ball down, which I did. Just before they were about to leave, the guard took the ball on the bus and came back with a signed ball. As he threw it back up to us, old Gibby emerged from the bus to give us a wave and the thumbs up.

Gibby had signed the ball for my son and saved the day. Turned our experience right around. He still has the ball displayed in his room.

Baseball needs Gibby IMO.

Anyone think Gibby got offered the Astros job when Hinch got suspended? Wonder if he seriously considered it.

You can take the man out of Texas but... You know :)

Gibby got his fair share of criticism from us, but he was ok. I was trying to think of his most egregious offences, but they are hard to recall. I remember coming unglued over some scrub reliever use in leverage etc, but I would take him any day over Buntoyo.
