Problem is that our direct competition (Mets) have done bigger things, play in one of the best markets and is very close to Springer's home. We don't have much going for us in this scenario aside from being able to offer more money and term.

If you are talking a 5-6 year contract, money only makes a difference if significantly more. Not like the Mets have s***** facilities and they have the "It" new owner and they are the new "It" team, even with the dick pick blip..
