What a fluff piece on Cole, that he still drives his 2006 truck. Like he probably doesn’t have a garage full of exotic cars where he hardly puts any miles on the sentimental truck

Basically should read: I don’t need to ever trade in or sell my first car cause I’m f***ing loaded lol

From me? Never man. I get where you’d have that takeaway though. I believe in capitalism. Just don’t see the need for fluff pieces like that.

I’m just against articles that are presented from one point of view. Most people don’t actually think for themselves IMO

Heh, although I dont think I know anyone who thought that contract was going to be anything other than a disaster

This video lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Wow... I didn't think anyone could be that bad at 1B. At least vladdy had an excuse of moving positions/covid/being overweight for his struggles last year lol

I'm not saying Hosmer is good, but you could make a 2 minute long reel of every player in MLB making stupid errors and hitting into double plays. lol

Maybe, but probably wouldn't look that bad

It's crazy that an everyday catcher has 40 HR but only had 2.5 WAR coming into today.

Sal Perez is such a weird player

Fascinating. So weird. But Perez and Molina are always in the HOF convo. Molina is a lock. Russel Martin has 55 career WAR. Perez has 15.

has more HR than walks many years, sometime twice as many.

Weird. Weird that Martin isn't playing any more I guess. Looks like he was still a positive player even in 2019. If the power bounced back a bit could of matched the 2.7 WAR Perez put up.

Looking at fangraphs Martin's D is mind blowing, so is Molina's. They are the same age. Martin has just as many career WAR in a few hundred less games.

Martin was still better in 2019... but retired? While Molina get's 3 more years.

I think it's better to be a firey .240 .289 .412 hitter with 17 homeruns and aggressive catching then a patient .250 .350 .400 hitter with 15 homeruns and quietly good defense.

The latter get's more WAR per game... but the former gets like 50 times as much credit.

Yeah the HOF thing was what I was thinking about when I called him weird.

He's got to be the player with the biggest discrepancy between old-school and new-school fans over the past decade.

You look at his 15 fWAR and say there's no shot he's a HOF but online I was seeing quite a bit of support for his candidacy after he hit # 40 yesterday.

Being -91 framing runs and -33 baserunning runs over your career will really knock down your value on Fangraphs.

Even on BR where framing isn't taken into account he's only at 29 WAR. I get that catchers are somewhat similar to relief pitchers in that you can't just directly compare their WAR totals to other positions to make a HOF argument. But I just don't see him being a Hall of Famer

What the hell boys, is it true that the Sunday Night Baseball Dodgers/San Fran showdown isn't airing tonight in Canada?

It doesn't start until 7PM bro? Oh s*** you're right, lol

Just tuning into the Mariners games, and wow Kelenic has been mega bad this year over a pretty decent sample size at this point. 49 OPS+, -1.8 WAR,

I get he’s still young and will probably turn it around, but empirically speaking there haven’t been many players in history to start a career being that bad that turn into superstars.

Hey look man. The Mariners had to call him up after 83 ABs above A ball. They were manipulating his service time.

Seriously, I hope the Mariners miss the playoffs by the amount of negative WAR that Kelenic provided so all these f***s on Twitter shut up about service time manipulation for anyone that shows a pulse above A ball.

lol... tell us how you really feel Mike. :P

It wouldn’t have been an issue if the idiot president hadn’t come out and literally say they were manipulating his service time

They were doing the same thing about Bobby Witt at the start of the year, and he had never played above short-season ball.

Just picked up tickets for Tues NY game. Cole pitching so I’m prob like a girl meeting up with Trevor Bauer for sex but I’ll take my chances. Weather supposed to be nice and got some great seats at reasonable price

Mariners take huge lead in extras against the D-backs.

Tbh it feels really bratty to be annoyed by this considering the universe gave Cleveland 11 runs over the Sox and Baltimore taking two from NY.

The only bb game I saw since my son was born that wasn’t a Jay game somewhere, was in Pit when my son was playing at a travel tourney near there. I saw Cole pitch for Pit and there was a ball that was hit in the IF where he blatantly didn’t cover 1b. No miscommunication, he just plain didn’t cover it on a fairly routine play. Crowd went crazy booing him. Never liked him since then

With the pitchers Boston put out there, it had to be expected, but I won't complain.
